Lovely to meet our new vet and nursing assistant for our first home visit after recently moving to the area. They took their time to get to know our rescue dog and gain his confidence before proceeding with his annual health check and booster vaccines. I was very happy with how well they gently managed him. They even managed to coax him onto the scales for weighing. A rare feat for our anxious boy!

We desperately needed a vet to put our old poppy to sleep who had been extremely unwell. Our usual vet cancelled the home visit due to an emergency so at 17.30 we were left to find an alternative provider - and thankfully we spoke with The Shire Vets. Despite the extremely short notice, they made the time to see us at 8pm to help our lovely poorly dog sleep. Mihai and Ciprian were extremely kind, courteous, helpful and great communicators throughout this difficult process. I can't recommend them enough. When you need them, they are there ready to support you and your pet and that's worth its weight in gold.

The service they give is absolutely brilliant. My dog Foxy is very highly strung when it comes to travelling in a car, I was so happy when I saw The Shire Veterinary Service advertised. I requested a visit on Good Friday and they were with me in less than a couple of hours, the treatment and the way they made Foxy feel was amazing. I have had another visit just last week and Foxy was more relaxed. A special journey was made to bring some medication later that day. I highly recommend this service.

After 18 years and 4 months of age , Cara our very special rag doll cat needed to be put to sleep , the vet team were absolutely marvellous with there caring ways , although a very sad occasion for us all it was also very calm , thankyou for coming out to us and making it as pleasant as you could, it’s such a relief that our friend is now at peace ..
