After recent surgery at Nottingham Park Hospital, I can't praise it enough. From arrival to discharge everything was spot on. From the Domestic staff on the ward to the nursing staff looking after me, everything was top notch. Thank you all for making my surgery and stay a good experience. Special thanks to Mr Bidwai and his team for all the care during my operation and ward staff Sam for his help and care.

Where do I begin when reviewing this absolutely wonderful hospital. From my first consultation to coming in for surgery the whole process was smooth, easy and supported by a lovely, helpful reception and staff team. Bloods & preop appointments were done efficiently, parking was never a struggle and every member of staff always had a warm, caring & calming manner.
When operation day came instead of being filled with nerves and anxiety I was wowed by the beautiful hotel styled room that was spotlessly clean and the delicious menu given to me by the lovely catering team. Every stage of my surgery was meticulously arranged and every effort was made to make me as comfortable as possible for the entirety of it. As always complications can (and in my case did) arrive but my medical team identified it rapidly, acted swiftly and sent me to CCU to give me 121 care and get me back on track. CCU isn’t part of anyone’s plan but in a strange way I’m glad I got to go as the warmth, thoroughness and dedication of the team down there is a marvel to see. Everyone was calm under pressure, nothing was too much of an ask and there was a constant stream of friendly faces always willing to go the extra mile.
Once I was feeling better and back to my room standards were still just as high. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and always delivered with the biggest smile (the catering ladies are all beautiful souls who can brighten anyone’s day). The nursing team were as friendly and caring as ever and my dignity was always preserved. I’d love to name everyone but I’d be too scared incase I’ve forgotten someone as every single member of staff I’ve come across at The Park Hospital is incredible.
Now on to my consultant and surgeon - who I could easily write a book about how wonderful he is Mr Ioannis Christakis. This man is a true example of what a Doctor should be. From first consultation until discharge day he was informative, understanding, calm, caring and friendly. No question was silly, no problem was a hassle and his care for his patients was clearly demonstrated throughout every interaction. I feel so privileged that he was my doctor as I don’t think that a better one exists. His aftercare has been exemplary and his thoroughness in caring for me and ensuring my recovery went smoothly was beyond what I could wish for. He is a truly magnificent human who I will thank forever.

She went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and supported throughout the recovery process. My experience of the Park Hospital was amazing from the start . The care from the staff was outstanding in particular the nurse Michelle during my first day she made me feel very comfortable and helped me understand the process also a special mention to Arun, Who looked after me after I came out of surgery and throughout the night ensuring that I was comfortable and not in any pain.
The facilities were also great.
there were some confusion whether I could wait bear due to the operations but a nurse called Zoe and the physiotherapist, Jenny insured that they got the correct information and confirm that I could.
The service from my consultant Mr Karuppiah was outstanding from the start, giving me a clear understanding of every step of the process.
Thank you again to all the staff at the park hospital for making my stay such a pleasure.

Had a second stent fitted 1 day ago, and feel great! The Cath Lab team who sorted out my stent were brilliant, extremely professional and skilled, and really put me at ease during the process. I even got to see the “before and after” videos showing the huge improvement they’d made with the procedure.

Only to be matched by the amazing ICU team who looked after me so well following the procedure. They were friendly and funny, but so professional, and were genuinely caring. They could not do enough for me and paid so much attention to detail.

I cannot recommend The Park Hospital highly enough. Both the Cath Lab and ICU teams were just outstanding.

Had to undergo a flexible cystoscopy procedure today that I really wasn’t forward too, and was extremely anxious.

I have to say the whole urology team made me feel at ease with the way the whole experience went.

Everything was explained in a very calm and easy to understand manner the nurse
Janet Mayes and the urologist assistant were most professional and made me feel totally at ease.
The calmness and professional mannerism of Thomas Walton my urologist made the whole experience most bearable.

It was nothing like I had imagined and I can only thank all those involved for taking great care of me.

All the staff at the Park were friendly, polite and reassuring. I was kept fully informed throughout every stage of my Operation (both Pre-op/ Post op) re dates, pre- admission assessments, tests etc. if I had any queries or worries, the staff were quite happy to explain things and this really helped me to feel listened to and safe.
The food was lovely and The Park Hospital was very clean and light.
I really did feel in safe hands, with professional, empathetic kind staff around me.

I undertook an MRI scan this morning and that hospital and could not have been happier with the service that was offered, the receptionist was very polite, curious and professional and the radiologist team of Lindsay and Elliot were brilliant. Really welcoming, supportive and kind- talked through each step and really put me at ease, along with the kind aftercare- a true credit to the hospital and would give them more than 5 stars if I could.
