Always a great experience! Peace, nature, good food and accommodation. This is a “back to nature” experience where you can be part of the community life, discover new hobbies, or give yourself some alone time and knit a new garment all by yourself.

I've been visiting the Othona Community for decades, alone or with my family. It's a wonderful, peaceful retreat right on the tidal beach and next to St. Cedd's Chapel. The Community runs lots of interesting events like Art Week, Music Week, Harvest Working Weekend and always lovely people to share your thoughts with or to have a great laugh.

Othona is an open and inclusive Christian community that hosts cultural and spiritual events for families and people of different faiths. I had the opportunity to come here on a 3 days buddhist retreat via West London Buddhist centre and I was positively impressed. The staff was welcoming and lovely, very respectful of our practice and very friendly. I recommend checking their programme. The food was fantastic!

This lovely eco-friendly community centre feels miles from the busy urban rush, a chance to enjoy wonderful home cooked food, paddle on the estuary beach, join in a wide variety of community activities, find a spiritual peace in the 7th century chapel of St Peter on the Wall, so much nature to enjoy. Don't expect luxury but you can expect kindness.

Welcoming, inclusive regardless of religious beliefs, and amazingly friendly. Well set up with disabled access. It's like an oasis of calm in the midst of our busy world. So wonderful to find such a sense of a welcoming community.

Such wonderful and lovely place. Being a Christian it's worth visiting such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. You can opt a dayout or 1 night stay in this community upon pre-booking. Cottages are also available. They serve a lovely home made food. The staff there are so lovely and friendly. You can take a walk to the first church in England built by st. cedd lovely place u will really enjoy it. After lunch in the evening go down to beach for a walk or swim. Must try place

Great for groups of children or teenagers, peaceful and remote. Fabulous staff, the onsite accommodation is basic but clean and the food is all homemade and delicious. I have not stayed over note but have dropped groups there, who have really enjoyed their stay.
