I’ve been a patient here for about 10 years. In the past the customer service was just typical of a doctors surgery. Now, it’s amazing. THEY call ME to check I’m doing ok sometimes. They never rush. I had a call today and the call dropped twice and I still got a call back. That never happens. Thanks to the staff at this surgery for making me feel cared for

Excellent medical centre. I booked an appointment to see the GP recently via the My GP app. I was able to get a booking quickly, wasn't waiting for long at the medical centre, and was sent for an x-ray the same day (the x-ray was also a quick experience - I was in and out within 15 minutes). My results were confirmed the following day, with physio booked for the next working day. Great experience - a very quick and timely service. Couldn't fault any of the care I've received since signing up at the practice a few years ago - thanks very much to the staff! Brilliant service.

Been waiting here for last one hour. Checked in on time still no response from the receptionist or the GP. Apparently she is running behind. Then simply don’t give appointments if you don’t have places. We have other work too and not have much time to sit in the GP for hours!
Absolutely rubbish GP and no regards towards patients!

We feel so lucky at the moment that we are with this surgery. So many friends are unable to get through on the phone and when they do have a very long wait for appointments with their GPs. We on the other hand receive very quick responses from both receptionists and for GP
appointments.

I have been with Orchard Medical Practice since the mid-1990’s. I came here because of dire medical consequences with my previous G.P. What a difference!
I have always found that the reception staff, nurses and doctors who work here try and make my appointment as friendly and welcoming as they possibly can. Not all patients visiting may feel the same, due to their condition, but come on. They have a job to do and they do it very well.
I feel like I’m treated as a person and not just a number, going through the motions. They haven’t, over the years, got everything 100% right, who hasn’t, yet when they do they have the decency to apologise and learn from it.
The simplest way to book and cancel appointments and order repeat prescriptions is online via Patient Access (organised through the surgery) or through the ‘My GP’ app on your mobile. Appointments are readily available and if it’s urgent you may be able to pick up one that day by telephoning the surgery after 8.00 am for a five-minute appointment. With medication, it’s all laid out and everything just gets sent straight through to the pharmacist, waiting for pick up within 48hrs, maybe sooner.
I feel that the doctors, nurses and associated health professionals attached to the surgery, are always looking after my best interests health-wise. I believe they put patients first. My family and I feel very fortunate to be patients here. This is a First Class surgery, make no mistake.

Had a sore throat for a week, tried over counter remedies to no avail so put on line form in requesting advice. Site says response in 1 to 2 hours. Four hours later still no response, practice now closed, half day opening. Work in NHS so know current pressures but there is no excuse for ignoring patients who have genuinely tried to help themselves to relieve pressure. Disgusted. No wonder gps getting bad press. Been a patient here since first opened and this isn't first time my family have had issues with rude staff, ignorant doctors but other gps in area not great either so better the devil you know.

Trying to call all day to get an appointment for my unwell 2 year old.. No one bloody answered all day.
Honestly if this is the best the NHS can do I want private healthcare. This is unacceptable for what we pay a month!!

The receptionist ladies are one of the friendliest, we come across. Specially, Hannah and Julie. Super efficient as well!
