Been here a few times in the last couple of months, every time they have been amazing. Extremely polite, friendly and approachable. Always efficient and everything they've said they will do/ what will happen is followed up.
Using the NHS app makes communication great too and booking appointments easy. Always happy to see when I have my appointments here.

Read through the end of this review on how I wasted my time in coming to this surgery.

I tried to avoid this surgery at all cost due to all the bad encounters I have had from the old receptionists who acts like they own the place, but I think they are now retired because I saw new friendly faces. However, the latest one that really upset me was when I brought my kid to this place and had to wait past due my appointment time and saw the responsible person to assess my child was just chatting with the receptionists for a good 15 minutes in the reception area.

I never had any problems with the doctors in this surgery from the past, however, this time I have to deal with an advance nurse practitioner who is just dismissive of my concern.

I brought my child with complaints of cough and colds more than a week already and was accompanied with refractory fever for a week that never comes down with paracetamol and only goes down if I give an alternative dose of Ibuprofen.

During the encounter with the ANP “Advance Nurse Practitioner” her demeanour was already off. She was dismissive with my concerns regarding my child. Anyway, the nurse that I am with 16 years experience has to suggest that my kid would probably need an antibiotic regimen.

She wasn’t keen on giving one and went on to educate me about not giving antibiotics too early and that my kid looks well and active. She said that apart from the mild swelling of his throat there are no other indications for giving antibiotics.

I myself was not with the idea of prescribing antibiotics early, but I know my child and I saw the symptoms is getting worse, consequently, if not treated with antibiotic we’ll have to admit him in the hospital if it continues for another 2 days.

She eventually agreed and said she will give a pending antibiotic prescription which I can claim in the pharmacy after 14 hours of observation if the symptoms persist. The next day I went to the pharmacy and claimed the antibiotic because the symptoms did not come down, to my surprise the pharmacist said that there was no pending prescription in their system.

I waited for another day and nothing came through. My child’s symptoms are getting worst so we have no choice but to rush him to A&E from which we were forwarded to PAU and was eventually prescribed antibiotic. After the first dose of antibiotic, it was the first time his fever went down immediately and lasted for a long time.

I understand people who receive our calls are responsible for taking notes of our concerns so the gp can have an idea what to ask during phone appointments but I have just spoken to someone about something I find difficult to explain/ask questions of and I was cut off mid sentence by receptionist. There was zero interest, zero empathy. I had another concern but because I have been made to feel that she wasn't willing to listen, I decided to just not say it. I work in the hospital and interact with patients daily and I never treated any of my patients the same way i have just been treated. Give people chance to speak.

Went today to get the vaccine for my little one (he is 2 months old) and the admission was rejected because we were 5 minutes late! The vaccine would have taken literally 1 minute and the receptionist was really rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. She could have easily accommodated this during the day pushing the schedule by 1 minute. Waste of time and stress for a very small baby due to the incompetency of the staff. Also it seems that they need 2 receptionist to do the job of one. I would have employed an extra nurse instead. Very frustrating as if it happened the other way around they would just ask to wait!

As most people have said:
- Very blunt, rude and unfriendly receptionists.
- Welcomeded by a confusing locked door and then shouting your personal details through an open window.
- The place looks like a prison more than a Doctors Surgery.
- The Doctors themselves are very nice and helpful but getting an appointment takes forever.

Avoid this particular Doctors Surgery if you can.

For anyone lucky enough to get an appointment be prepared to stand in public and shout your personal details through an open window for the world to hear. The reception staff are rude and unhelpful. They show no care towards the patient ls needs. The Dr's are on the other end of the spectrum however. They could not be more helpful.

Like to play with your safety and life. If you are asthmatic and prefer to have the luxury of breathing best to avoid this place. What professional surgery refuses a life saving asthma inhaler.....this one.

I've had very good service from the doctors here and unlike others have suggested I have in 20 odd years never had any issues with the reception staff. Moreover I've found them pretty helpful.
