I moved to Oakley Health Group from Sandhurst Group practice 3 years ago and i couldn't speak more highly of the practice and the service my family and I have received and the efficiency of the Anima system. When I have had an urgent need, I have had a call that day and a later appointment if required, if I have needed medication the prescription has been sent to the pharmicist quickly and if it has not been urgent I have received a swift email with the date of a future call. Every member of staff I have interacted with has been superb and caring. The Flu vaccine clinci were run extremely efficiently.

My dad has been suffering in agony with leg pain for the last 6 weeks and has been around the houses trying to get it sorted. Appointments are impossible to get, and it has taken that long to get to a potential diagnosis, with now a further wait, still in pain, for treatment. Deeply upsetting to see someone you love in so much pain. It’s such a shame because our whole family have been visiting this surgery for many years, and the standards have fallen to abysmal levels.

I call A spade A spade. My 56 years lessons have taught by life and I have been around the block, after being medically discharged from the parachute regiment, my medical care of over 30 years has only expanded on my medical knowledge as A combat medic my medical knowledge being expanded by the very top Mr’s Doctors in the UK. Oakley Health group system in place purely benefits the doctors and staff of Oakley health group. To summarise patients care and needs are not being meet with The current system and holes you need to jump through to sit in front of a GP. And I know from discussing the system in place there’s a large number of people in the community that are unhappy with the healthcare that they are provided.

I just wanted to share my very positive experience with Yateley Medical Centre yesterday. I phoned and spoke to the receptionist at 4.25pm. I was called back by the doctor at 4.45pm and told to make my way to the surgery for a appointment at 6.20pm.
The National Health Service is so often complained about but I can only offer praise and thanks for quickly dealing with my problem.

Terrifyingly long wait times 6 weeks just for a telephone appointment!!! Let alone the additional month after you likely have to wait to actually see anyone. Really sad state of affairs and scary thinking of those who slip through the net because of all the anima process. Mind blowingly bad/sad and frankly scary! First time using the service, i phoned up got told to complete anima, completed online, the receptionist then called me back to ask me what my ailment was as anima hadn't defined it, then given a telephone appointment between 8am -2pm in 5 weeks time....

4-5 weeks wait for an appointment. Unhelpful receptionists, but they are just as much a victim of the abysmal management as the patients. When I asked why the delays, they said because they have too many patients and not enough GPS. With no plans to rectify that and still taking more patients, this is only going to get worse. Terrible worrying situation.

Deborah the receptionist is so rude. I strongly recommend making sure you don't get her on the phone. I would even say ask not to have her. I have an ill child and she wouldn't help and even put the phone down. The whole system is a joke. The overall service is poor. Losing faith in this practice big time. I have been in and out myself with issues and no help. What on earth am i paying NI and taxes for.......an very poor service.
Adding to this post for Deborah, I went to the surgery and what I asked over the phone by you was done in a minute, the doctor spoke to us and my lad has been sent to A & E. Thanks for your help Deborah. 👍
