Great organisation, ethical and supportive. I found these to be more helpful than the bacp, and they respond to email enquiries quickly. They offer cpd and organisational membership too. Plus you get your certificates and badges for email/website.

Their communication has always been clear and concise when I have contacted them, and they demonstrated a high level of professionalism and friendliness.

I am extremely satisfied with both my accreditation and the exceptional service and support provided by NCPS. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of accreditation. Unlike other governing bodies, they prioritise transparency and democracy. In my experience, they involve members in important decisions through voting, ensuring a fair and inclusive process.

Their code of ethics is very comprehensive and seems to cover more depth that similar BACP code of ethics.

I have been a member of NCPS for over 12 years and I cannot fault how amazing they are. This is a democratic organisation rather than an autocratic organisation that places their members at the centre of their decision making. Thank you so much NCPS I feel I have found the right family to be in to support my career

Awful experience and in the end I requested my fees back. Very ND unfriendly and unwilling to make any accommodations. Eventually I asked for a phone number and contact name to complain. A week later I received an email saying 'your request has been passed on'. If we treated clients how the ncs treat its members, we'd be hauled over the coals.

Really responsible and ethical body who consult their members by vote and act on the vote for big decisions like ScopeD, in sharp contrast to other counselling organisations who pushed their agendas without any member consultation. The organisation is working hard to ensure standards are high and this can only be a good thing for members and the profession. There are hours to prove and experiences to highlight when joining but this follows a format for membership in all counselling and psychotherapy organisations, ensures counsellors are committed to their personal development and protects the public. A recommended and ethical organisation who provide a great service!

Very disappointing. Despite being registered with them for six years, after a period of retirement they will no longer accept me without client logs right back to qualification (10 years! 9000+ hours) written statements, letter from supervisor (who is also now retired) and a CV.
This is the kind of thing that makes people not bother to register at all, leaving the profession wide open to abuse.
Not recommended. I will register elsewhere.
UPDATE: They have kept a percentage of my money too as the terms and conditions say membership fees are non-refundable. Beware, they keep your money even if membership is not offered or taken.

Excellent organisation that really attends to the details. They offer great support, are always contactable & friendly plus brilliant training & workshops. Exactly what a regulatory body should be. I see them definitely edging ahead of the BACP. Well done NCS.
