He took the time to understand my issues and tailored a treatment plan that has made a significant difference in my health and well-being. I found I had immediate relief and improved mobility. Despicable behaviour by Nicola the receptionist. I have been going to Chris for years which I am very happy with. I had a voucher on my account I called and asked to book my husband and paid the remainder. Unfortunately my husband’s cousin had a severe car accident which we had to drive to London. I tried calling the next day and couldn’t get through. Suddenly we have been sent a dozen of emails how we owe money. I called back and explained I had paid as it was a gift for my husband. She managed to find the payment. I asked to rebook it at some point for him or hold it, she was so rude and said no. I have been a loyal customer thus bringing people to the clinic I think a little understanding would have been good. Not to mention £75 is a lot of money to have to pay it all again in full! I don’t understand most places would have just deducted a deposit pf some sort. Anyhow not happy with this service at all. Shall be writing a formal complaint to the directors. This is not a good way to keep your customers specially since it has never happened to me and it was a gift!

I’ve been treated at The Medical by Chiropractor Dr Chris Derby. I find Chris to be the perfect balance of, on one hand a great deal of professional knowledge and expertise – which gives the patient confidence in his treatment – and on the other hand very warm, friendly and personable – he is very easy to talk to and get along with – which is important in helping the patient to relax, and look forward to treatments. All the reception staff I’ve met at The Medical have also been lovely. Andrew Davis

I have been using the medical for over 5 years and now use Chris Derby who i would highly recommend. The only downside is cost, they used to be competitively priced however are £64 a visit.
You used to be able to purchase a multiple visit at a good price but this is not much of a saving now

I recently had an encounter with Ms. Lucy Allwood at The Medical which compelled me to write this review. My intention was to cancel an appointment due to a back injury, ironically the reason for my visit. I was met with a condescending tone and a strict emphasis on the 48-hour cancellation policy, with little regard for my personal circumstances.

What disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and understanding. Dealing with health issues can be stressful, and the supportiveness of the medical service team is crucial. Unfortunately, Ms. Allwood's approach was more transactional than compassionate, focusing solely on policy adherence and charges rather than offering assistance or understanding in a difficult situation.

This experience has led me to reconsider my use of The Medical's services. The nonchalant attitude regarding whether I would remain a client, coupled with the unsympathetic handling of my situation, was disheartening. As someone who values customer care, especially in healthcare settings, this interaction was a letdown.

I hope this feedback is seen as an opportunity for The Medical to enhance its customer service approach. The healthcare sector is not just about medical treatment but also about empathy, care, and understanding, which I found lacking in this instance.

I am currently receiving weekly treatment from here for a hamstring injury. The receptionist is very friendly and professional. The physio I've been working with is also friendly and professional, therefore, I feel this business deserves 5 stars and would recommend it to everyone.
