My daughter Charlotte sees George for sports therapy and massage treatment. She's a footballer and really benefits from seeing someone who understands football and the common injuries and issues. George is very knowledgeable and share is knowledge and experience with us. She feels really comfortable being treated by George and I am very happy with how George looks after Charlotte.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend George to anyone. And, thank you for being such a star!

I have been seeing Dr Callum ( Chiropractor), for a couple of months now, due to sciatica.

He is very knowledge, empathic and friendly.

I can honestly say he is amazing and not only is the sciatica improving, but I feel the benefits of the treatment mentally aswell.

There is definately an improvement in my condition, mental clarity and motivation since having treatment at The Medical.

I would definately recommend The Medical and Callum, not only due to the excellent treatment I have received, but also because they do not try to sell you more sessions than you need. Also, they discuss your treatment plan so you know what to expect financially.

I am really happy with the open and friendly approach and treatment I recieve.

I started having treatment with Callum towards the end of December for a problem with a slipped disc. I was quite apprehensive at first, but Callum instantly put me at ease.

I have previously had little success or faith in chiropractors and physios after seeing little results, however The Medical at Downend have truly changed my view.

I initially saw Catherine who sorted out neck pains that I've had for over 10 years! Now, I've been seeing Jack and Annette regarding a serious shoulder injury, and they help so much. It's expensive, but buying a bulk pack of appointments makes it far better value for money, and honestly I don't grudge paying as it helps so so much with my pain management and recovery. I honestly can't recommend them highly enough, and I always get a lovely chat with Val whilst waiting!

Update: misdiagnosed a slipped disc

I booked as had chronic lower back pain and, as advertised, expected physio advice as part of the appointments but only had chiro treatment and dry needling. The clicks didn’t feel to be in the areas that needed it. After two sessions and a consultation session there was no improvement.

However, I went for a 1 hour sports massage with a little osteopathy elsewhere, for £35, and immediately the pain was relieved and was given strengthening exercises.

I specifically requested that my card details were not stored. They were, which is a very serious GDPR red flag.

Also, they don’t accept cash payments and don’t confirm the amount being taken from your card before processing payment.

£59 for 15 minute appointments which doesn’t work feels like daylight robbery. My friend, who is an NHS consultant, likened chiropractic treatment to snake oil medicine - it doesn’t fix the problem but may give light relief short term.
