Zero stars is sadly not an option.
Enough has been already been said about how impossible it is to see anyone with any recognised medical training and qualification so I won’t reiterate that point.
So they have seven part time doctors and 12 nurses. I have repeat prescriptions that I book via Patient Access and this works perfectly but whenever I go in to pick them up the waiting room is deserted with a maximum so far of 5 people waiting to go in. When I do get an appointment, usually at their request to see someone I turn up half an hour early just to see if the waiting room does ever get busy, to date it hasn’t. Nurse at the practice told me I was diabetic and I should follow a diet of moderation, I asked for clarification on how many grams of carbohydrates I should aim for in a day, she did not know so she Googled an answer, she stated nothing listed on Diabetes UK website but came up with an answer from another site giving me the range of 225 to 325 grams per day. Told my wife when I got home and she did a quick calculation and she said I was not getting close to the minimum, I then looked on the Diabetes UK site and they stated the maximum should be 130 grams per day for diabetes sufferers, just as well I checked.
Does the Care Quality Commission who recorded the practice as good in 2022 look at reviews and do they announce their intention to visit the practice. I think the answers must be no and yes, so if you are trying to get in make it on a CQC visit day, I would lay money the waiting room will be heaving and you will not have a problem seeing someone.
My other thought is they maybe have a main waiting room that I am unaware of and the one by reception is the overflow used when the main one is full.
I have voted with my feet and thankfully I am now in the same practice as my wife and that does deserve the good CQC rating in her opinion.

Arrived at reception only to be told appointment had been cancelled (83yr old just out of hospital) had to make another appointment although discharge letter wanted staples removed that day. Not receptionist fault but this service is appalling

I found the service very good. The online booking is much better for me as I work full time. I was seen by a very helpful nurse Called Debbie. She was super friendly and very professional.

This Drs is absolutly getting worse. I had a physiotherapy appointment yesterday and after going through their plan with me they wanted me to see a GP. I phoned this morning caller no 34. When i got through and explained my situation, the receptionist went and spoke to her supervisor. She came back and said a pharmacist could help me and will call me today. So i said i need to see a GP and she said the supervisor said no the pharmacist can help!!!!! I honestly cannot believe a supervisor is now a GP, how can he/she make that decision after ive been told by a professional i need to see a GP!!!! What on earth are they playing at?

If I could give no stars I would. My dad has been really poorly recently and my mum has been trying to get him appointments when the GP has asked to see him for follow ups. She calls at 8am and either can not get through or she is 50 in the queue. Yesterday she was waiting for an hour then as usual no appointments. They asked for a phone appointment but all booked they ask for an appointment in the future but they said they don’t do that ! The receptionist said to come to the surgery at 8am to try to get an appointment. My parents are 86 that is not an option. The receptionist offers no choice or options for them. It is impossible to get an appointment and when you do get one you turn up a there is no one in the waiting area ! Probably because no one can get through in the mornings. Very port service. The GPs are great if you can get to see one

I swear to god this place is getting worse week after week!! Put my repeat prescription in the box Monday evening on my way to work, went to collect p/x this morning after a 12hr nightshift and bornos have nothing for me! Contacted the surgery to be told its waiting to be signed by the Dr as they only received it wednesday! Uh, I don't think so! Wednesday was my day off and I spent it at home, that prescription went into the box Monday bloody night! Last month they missed 2 of my meds off my repeat because they didnt bother looking at the second page and I ended up without important meds for 4 days! Sort it out ffs! The Dr's I've encountered are amazing but the administration of that place needs a serious kick up the jacksy!!

I tried on four separate occasions on the 26th January to phone for an appointment, each call lasted approximately 20 mins. then I was cut off. Tried again today 29th January 3 times, finally got to caller number 1 and was then promptly cut off. I'm not sure what the issues are at the practice but from a patient perspective the service is terrible. And I still cant get to speak to anyone let alone see a GP.
