Recently the GP service here has really turned around. I had a few terrible experiences a couple years ago, but everyone I’ve seen this year has been good.
Doctors Patel and Yousuf really listened to my concerns and seem like they want to find out what the root of my issues have been. I’ve been referred to various specialists in a timely manner, which has been quite surprising.
And Ms Pancheva is excellent at taking blood. It was over in a flash!
The receptionists are even more welcoming and accommodating. The person I spoke with today went out of her way to find me a sooner appointment for blood work at another surgery that would be easy for me to get to on the bus. Make sure you get the form for blood work if they schedule you at another surgery. I’m out £3.50 and an hour of my time because I wasn’t given the form so the other surgery has rescheduled me!

I went to a consultation on Tuesday for an infection and because it didn't heal until Friday I went to ask for a sick note. I told the doctor 3 times that I stayed at home all week and he gave me sick notes for the weekend. Great service to stay at home unpaid because of a doctor who doesn't care what you say

Reception are generally friendly and work with what they have available. Nurses, midwives and doctors are also helpful and compassionate. I've been with this surgery for about 10 years and I will admit it's been increasingly difficult to get appointments but I believe that's down to lack of available staff nationally. I intend to stay with this surgery until I'm no longer in the area. I hope that the surgery are eventually provided with the staff that they so desperately need to handle the large amounts of requests they are currently dealing with.

When it comes down to it they provide a great service. My mum recently had a health concern, they arranged a face to face GP appointment to see her very quickly, carried out blood tests and got her into hospital within 24 hrs. I can't thank the GP and staff at Maple surgery enough!!

I was able to see either a nurse or GP very quickly when calling on the day on several occasions - might be a bit of luck but also an amazing service! Receptionists are very nice, polite and helpful. Thank you 🙂
