I just want to review my dinner experience. We are members, didn't use the hotel.
We went on a Sunday night was very quiet.
Somehow the atmosphere was not right
The service was slow and indifferent, they didn't really care much or acknowledge
My small plate starter was very good, belly pork
However the mains a big disappointment
The burger did not taste of anything and the mash and sausages well just another dish
Is not a cheap place, you would think they could do better

Great would have scored higher but the radiator was switched off in my room so I was cold. Towel radiator was switched off it bathroom so it was freezing. Otherwise it was ok. There was however an ominous brown or red dot on the toilet seat when I arrived. The bar is nice comfy chairs. Nice reception. Good facilities and parking. Lovely Christmas decor.

Hotel is in a great location. Great facilities on site. The room we stayed in was a little small and dated but clean and in good working order. TV was only about 20” so on the small side.Breakfast was pretty good, let down by the dried out hash browns and fried eggs, otherwise it would have been much better.

From the moment i entered the hotel i was met by warm, welcoming staff and this continued for the duration of my stay. The restaurant was lovely, particularly with the Christmas decorations still in place and my meal was superb. Breakfast was also superb with an excellent selection of hot and cold food and pastries at the buffet and other items such as omelettes available to order.||My room was quite small and a the decor was a bit dated but it did have a very handy workstation and I had a nice view over the pond and tennis courts with the river in the background.||The bar was spacious and inviting with lots of comfortable searing and the fires gave the room a cosy feeling.||On the whole, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I hope to visit again soon.

Stayed 2 nights at the resort. The place has got loads of character, but there are issues with an old building - squeaky floors and really heavy doors.
The room we had was Deluxe Queen Room, but frankly, I would expect something better for nearly £300/night on weekdays.
The grounds are vast, and the river at the back of the hotel is definitely a bonus.
The added benefit of the gym, saunas, and swimming pool is great, and as they are accessible to club members as well as to hotel residentss.
The room itself had a recently renovated bathroom, and the decor was OK. One of the reading lights by the bed didn't work. The cleanliness of the bathroom towel radiator and behind the main entry doors has let it down. Additionally the the bath screen had a gap between it and the bathtub, allowing water to freely run on the floor even when being extra cautious.
Breakfast was good in both selection and quality of food, so we both enjoyed it.
Overall, it was a good stay, but I'm not sure if I could call it value for money...

Looks beautiful from the outside. Bit shabby inside. Our room was not suitable for anyone really. Friends had a much better room. So make sure you don't get a room like mine.

With close family that live just down the street, we have visited The Lensbury Resort 2-3 times a year for the past 12 years when visiting the area, hoping for a pleasant retreat. ||||Unfortunately, our experiences have consistently resembled a “Fawtly Towers” episode rather than a relaxing getaway. ||||It’s hard to fathom how a place with such potential has faltered so frequently||||First and foremost, the staff's attitude is incredibly disappointing. During our recent stays, we encountered numerous instances where staff seemed indifferent to our needs. For example, the elevators were out of service, and not once did we see staff offer assistance with our luggage, forcing us to navigate three flights of stairs on our own. This lack of concern for guest comfort is simply unacceptable||||Moreover, the atmosphere at the bar was shocking. We witnessed bar staff using curse words and engaging in arguments right in front of customers. It felt entirely unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable, as if we were intruding on a private dispute rather than enjoying a pleasant evening||||Technical issues also plagued our stays. The room keys often failed to work, leading to repeated trips to the front desk in frustration. ||||When we expressed our concerns, rather than receiving assistance, we were met with confrontational attitudes from the staff. Instead of resolving our issues, they challenged us, which only added to the overall unpleasant experience||||The small touches that could easily elevate a guest's experience were glaringly absent. It often felt like the staff were unhelpful and, at times, even annoyed by our presence. ||||It’s disheartening to see a place with so much promise fall short due to a lack of attention to detail and guest care||||In conclusion, while The Lensbury Resort has the potential to be a fantastic destination, it consistently fails to deliver a satisfactory experience. ||||Until there are significant improvements in staff training and management responsiveness, we will be looking elsewhere for our family getaways. It’s a shame to see such a beautiful location squandered by poor service and a lack of appreciation for the guests who return year after year.

As a loyal guest of The Lensbury for over 15 years, I was saddened by the noticeable decline in quality during my recent stay. Once a shining example of charm and excellence, the hotel now feels dated and uninspired.||The rooms, unfortunately, reflect this decline. Once cozy and premium, they now appear worn and in desperate need of refurbishment. Adding to the disappointment, I was asked to pay upfront at check-in — an unusual and unwelcoming policy that I’ve never encountered here before. It set a negative tone for my latest visit from the very start.||The breakfast experience, once a highlight of my stays, has drastically deteriorated. Tea and coffee, previously served at your table, now come from machines that weren’t properly stocked — I had to wait for milk to be refilled. The hot food selection was equally disheartening, with hard, unappealing bacon and eggs sitting under heat lamps. Gone are the days of fresh rolls, inviting selection of hams, tomatoes, and cottage cheese. What used to feel indulgent now feels rushed and subpar.||It’s truly disappointing to see The Lensbury lose the high standards that made it such a delightful place to stay. Significant improvements need to be made to bring this wonderful hotel back to the standards it used to be, especially the regarding the breakfast.
