This health centre used to be so good but it has declined into a frustrating farce. The repeat prescription forms have boxes which you need to tick the relevant box for the drug that you require. I make sure that I tick the relevant box to avoid waste but when I go to collect my drugs I either get everything or I find I am missing the specific drugs that I required. I have given up returning unrequited drugs but on my last visit I again didn’t get the drugs I requested and I was not given a repeat prescription drugs form, I phoned the surgery and informed them of the missing form and the receptionist found the drug I wanted and informed me that I would be able to pick it up later in the day, when I did turn up the pharmacy didn’t have the drug and they had not been informed. I went into the reception and informed the receptionist but she told me that the drug had not been authorised by the doctor so I have no drugs and quite frankly have lost faith in the practice it might have a detrimental effect on my health but I am past caring, as far as I’m concerned they should close the practice because it’s about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

It was the worst practice I've ever visited. They offer physio appointments, which is amazing, but in order to check in, you need to queue to speak to a receptionist. It took me 16 min to do so, and I told the receptionist that they should have a separate booking system, and she answered back in a rude manner that this is what they had. You cannot provide good customer service if you don't listen to constructive feedback.

Phoned the key medical practice today to get an emergency appointment. Receptionist extremely helpful and got me an appointment in half an hours time to see Doctor May. The service I received was really good. Thank you key medical practice. Jan lyes

doctors generally good when you can get hold of someone. But communication is so difficult compared to other surgeries. Email and other electronic services just don't seem to operate. Booking appointments for my elderly parent is such hard work that I don't feel he gets the checkups and attention he needs. Appointments, when offered, are within the next two days in the middle of a working day. I am told to 'pop in' to arrange another. But I don't live nearby. Other surgeries seem to offer a range of times and services quite readily by electronic means. I find myself 'on hold' for a very long time and have resorted to sending a handwritten note with a stamp before.

Unfortunately what was a very good practice has gone downhill. It is very difficult to see a doctor, most is done on the phone or sending photos. If this is considered to be sufficient care then we are on a very bad trajectory. We had to doorstep them when my son had RSV as they made it near impossible to be seen, eventually he was hospitalised! At a later time my son had a chest infection and were told he was fine. We ended up in hospital and he had a collapsed lung. It is no surprise that the ED in the hospital is overrun when the primary care is not fit for purpose. I have not named anyone but unfortunately this wasn't isolated to one doctor. The practice needs to look at itself as it is letting people down. Unfortunately looking at the other reviews we aren't the only ones to suffer.

Not receptionist fault but every time I call I'm on hold for at least half and hour and then apparently then no available appointments, so call back tomorrow. Then repeat. A complete joke. Previously excellent surgery has become appalling.
Edit they have changed the system and appointments much easier to make . Also an excellent and extremely attentive doctor has just started thrre and I'm completely impressed. They really go above and beyond. Thank you so much

A big thank you to the reception lady who went out of her way the other day to help me sort out my appointment. My phone line was terrible, my availability limited and the line cut off. I wasn’t able to book an appointment or call back due to my busy schedule. I received a lovely voicemail a few hours later that the lady booked me an appointment (time and day that worked for me best). I did not expect this much help and efficiency. I am very grateful and appreciate the team’s hard work.
