I just want to thank harleston GP surgery for the care they give to my parents. They are always there at the end of a phone to chat through any concerns, GP or nurse visits in a timely manner if required. Prompt treatment if required. Thank you to all the staff at the surgery, you are very much appreciated.

I’ve been in and out like a yoyo about my physical health since last May having scans, countless bloods even though the particular illness I may have may not show on these, they’re still none the wiser.. I’ve been completely gaslit about my physical health and had them try make me believe it’s my mental health. I saw a great stand in/part time doctor towards the end of last year who gave me medication specified for the suspected illness which worked amazingly only to be told when I returned to see my regular doctor I couldn’t continue taking them without a proper diagnoses through the hospital. I’ve had to ring up at least 20 times during this period to even have gotten this far and get spoken to like I’m an issue by the receptionists and the doctors, still waiting on a call back a week later regarding the same problem ☺️👏🏼

Unprofessional and rude receptionist. All unwilling to help. Ring to talk to doctor, oh wait. Might never hear back from a doctor and just get sent standard response of either 7pm at night or go up an and e as they are so lazy to actually see their patients. Still the same a year on. Doctors not listening to patients if you get to speak to one and not a text saying message at reception for you.

Excellent service received today- I called at 08:30, I was number 2 in the queue. Spoke to receptionist within about 2 minutes of calling. Explained symptoms, surgery called me back by 09:30 and I have an appointment at 11:30 am!

I've been with this surgery for over a year and I'm very satisfied with the care I'm receiving. I find it incredibly easy to get appointments and each doctor I've seen or spoken to has listened carefully to what I've had to say, has engaged me fully in a discussion about what fits best with my particular needs, and they have a pragmatic approach to care that fits very well with my own way of thinking. This is particularly important for me as I have two chronic illnesses and they do not make assumptions about what someone with those conditions needs or should do. They take nothing for granted. The nursing staff deserve a particular mention - they are easy to talk to, explain things clearly and do what needs to be done without any fuss. The pharmacy staff are also helpful and thorough. Their lengthy reordering system makes them seem obstructive and unhelpful, but they aren't at all - now that some drugs have become harder to obtain, I appreciate greatly that my prescription is always ready and complete when I go to collect. Because I've moved about geographically, I have been with nine surgeries over the course of my illnesses, and in my experience Harleston ranks up with the best, hence five stars.

(If you are able to) What a great appointment system to book on the website! I was able to put all the details in and also say what I was worried about in terms of what the symptoms might mean. Much easier for the doctor and she was able to address my concerns, without me having to remember. I brought my mum and I was so appreciative of the receptionist who pointed me in the direction of the appointment system and Dr Sally Erskine whose kindness and compassion was wonderful. This is not my medical practice, but I am very glad it is my mum's one! Thank you.

Like mentioned below one member of staff is a little rude. But in that job I feel you would need to be blunt as not all people are polite themselves. Witnessed myself the way this lady had been spoken too surprisingly not young people either When she’s only doing her job and some people are a little thick so it gets the picture through quicker The doctors surgery are over worked with demand of new houses this is the councils fault not are surgery’s that have been opened for years. Is hard for appointment but always get one if really needed. Phoned up at 3 for my poorly son and was seen by 530 so can’t really fault that. 😁
