I called the surgery this morning feeling slightly frustrated, due to an issue with my repeat prescription. A lovely receptionist called Cathy took the call was so lovely and very helpful that she totally changed my mood. Great service from Cathy! Thank you

We moved to the area 1.5yrs ago, and consequently also our GP. Always had a great with all staff- doctors, nurses, receptionists and practice managers. The admin staff in particular are always willing to go the extra mile to help support a patient. We've had experience with previous surgeries, and have never had the level of friendliness or support received here. For those complaining of queues when calling for an appointment, or the online prescription process, please understand this is not isolated to just one surgery. These are nationwide issues due to nhs staff shortages, and the rather complex government online prescription process.

Very happy indeed with all aspects - doctors, nurses, reception and practice manager and even the telephone. If you are having problems and make that clear, they will help and go the extra mile if necessary. We are both now getting old and our experience has been very good for quite some time, whether general health, heart, prostate or cancer. Admittedly you need a modicum of patience at times with the system, just like those themselves within the practice, but they are reliable and there when you need them. Just recently we were away in Scotland (a different country and health system!) and needed an urgent prescription - which got done efficiently, speedily and in a friendly and caring way, with follow up too. Definitely one of the best.

Every experience I’ve had since moving practices to the Groves has been fantastic. They have an appointments process that actually works and I’ve managed to get same day appointments on numerous occasions. The doctors and nurses are great and really caring. The reception staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful. So glad I switched to the Groves. My family and I feel very well taken care of.

This surgery is excellent, doctors are very caring and when something is urgent they don’t take it lightly and you are seen at the hospital in the 2 weeks. Also very practical to be able to have phone appointments to save time and money when you don’t need to be seen and you need advice
Also good as you don’t give or catch something else while you are in the waiting room. Physio exercises can also be send by emails or online.
It is lovely to see some smiling receptionists.

They have been my doctors for many years but over the recent years they have gone downhill and I got so disillusioned with them I have now moved to another practice. My prescription process always seemed to be so difficult and complicated and on one occasion it was such a mess the pharmacist had to personally go around and talk to them. It took 2 visits from him ! They are disorganised, over commercial and the client facing staff have limited interpersonal skills. My recent experiences have been uncaring and awful

Some of the negative reviews here about this surgery are very old. The surgery has undergone a transformation. I moved here in May 2020 and they have been wonderful. All the reception staff are polite and friendly. My Dr, Dr Jivani is excellent. No problems getting my prescriptions and they call with timely reminders. Well done all at The Groves Hinchley Wood and well done to our wonderful NHS. People should appreciate how lucky we are to have such a wonderful NHS and the pressures they all work under.
