Been in pain for ten months with my leg
They have done nothing apart from give me medication after medication
Now saying there isn’t anything they can do for pain so
Now I’m going to put a formal complaint in to nhs about the lack of support and treatment

I will not have my health put at risk by these exceptionally rude receptionists. Not listening, not passing the correct messages on, is neglect!
Day 2: an edit - called again and I couldn't have had a more helpful, kind and understanding receptionist. Issue resolved instantly. I wish I had taken the ladies name, I would give her 5 stars. For this reason, I have upgraded this experience from 1 star to 2

I'm giving a generous 3 stars the majority of staff seem like they're trying to provide a good health service but the whole organisation of the practice is very badly run with excessively long waiting times, medical professionals failing to liaise with one another, a lack of information provided to patients & serious problems being given little attention, leading the patient to have scant faith that their medical needs are being appropriately dealt with. Not a personnel problem, I believe, but a bureaucratic one. There is a lot of room for improvement.

I’m 39 weeks pregnant and had a bad experience with this doctors practice.
My results kept showing that I had a UTI, and I was told I needed antibiotics, they would send the sample off but I needed antibiotics, each time the dr at the practice marked my sample as no further action.
On my notes online it says for my samples “abnormal, no further action required” it’s a disgraceful way to treat someone who is about to give birth. My consultant at the hospital also said antibiotics were needed, he sent it off, the drs here filed it as not needing any, this happened for several weeks, the infection spread up to my kidneys. I went into the labour ward at hospital 2 days ago after being in the bath all night in crippling agony, labour ward sent me there saying I shouldn’t be in this much pain constantly, they dipped my urine and couldn’t believe how much bad stuff was in it, I was shivery in a hot room, and in agony in my right kidney. Dr immediately started me on antibiotics, and sent the sample off for my own gp at ferryhill, lo and behold they marked the sample as abnormal but no action required, they’ve done this for weeks. If they had helped me sooner I wouldn’t have had this awful infection be allowed to spread up to my kidneys. I’m due to be induced next Wednesday and I feel very poorly. I am upset at the way I’ve been treated and wondering if my kidney has any permanent damage.

Excellent service.

They are a small doctors serving a large community. Many will be quick to complain that they cannot get through on the phone, but that is only because they are already dealing with people.

I used the online service. Within 1 minute I received a confirmation email and within an hour I received a telephone appointment booking. I had to call back after my telephone appt with a development. I was on hold for 5 minutes, which is not bad at all. Just stick your phone on loud speaker and do some jobs around the house whilst waiting - sorted.

I have been with this practice for 5 years now during which time I have been speedily sent for any referrals, scans and blood tests etc required. All the staff and doctors are always considerate and helpful. I suffer from 3 chronic illnesses and the medical team have done everything possible to monitor and treat these which enables me to live my life the best possible. I highly recommend this practice.

I can't even get a phone appointment, I can't phone myself in the morning as I'm at work from 6am and can't have my phone on me....my partner rang and the receptionist was an @sshol3 .....I can't have an appointment unless I phone myself and they don't book appointments in advance. My partner explained that don't finish work until my 3pm but they said there's nothing they could do. I haven't seen a doctor in 4 years and when I finally need one it's non existent. Absolutely hate Ferryhill doctors surgery, useless waste of space.

I have had a very good service from this surgery and really not much to complain about. The loss of 2 stars is due to the way that one member of staff feels the need to speak down to you.
