Reviews and Opinions

The Elms Health Centre has received a total of 21 reviews on Google My Business, with an average rating of 2.9 out of 5 stars. Many patients have expressed their appreciation for the caring and helpful staff, as well as the importance of the mental health services provided. However, some have noted concerns regarding the impact of government cuts on the quality and availability of care.

One satisfied patient shared, "Everyone who we met with has been lovely. It has taken a long time to get a diagnosis for my son, but I understand how stretched the service is. But we got there in the end."

Another reviewer emphasized the significance of The Elms Health Centre, stating, "Extremely good and important service for our children. They have been helpful and caring. I would recommend them to anyone."

Despite these positive remarks, it is crucial to acknowledge the challenges faced by the healthcare facility due to government funding cuts over the years. As the facility continues to navigate these circumstances, they remain dedicated to providing the best possible care to their patients.

Extremely good and important service for our children. They have been helpful and caring. I would recommend them to anyone. It's just a shame that the Tory government has decimated our mental health services over 12 years of cuts.

All they do is try and blame you for your childs behaviour .Dr Gingell one of the worst..
Still the same but worse, DR Palimar even bad, mix up files on height weight, always different, all about money making.

Good. I'm currently attending EMDR therapy and all of the staff have - so far - had me and my family's personal best interests in mind. I've been here for about a year now and been given to about five different therapists in total, all have been immensely kind and diligent with their work. The only fault I can really find is that communication has been tampered with a few times (as therapists have tried to send me and my sister information but the information has been altered accidentally by the office staff) and the receptionists have been a bit off when calling a few times.

We feel very disgruntled with the way our daughter and grandson have been treated by a member of the child mental health team.
Our grandson has been visiting the clinic for assessments over the last few weeks. He clearly has autistic traits which are not being recognised.
Rather than assess the issues here. Our family have been treated like social outcasts. It would appear that because our daughter is a single parent. The assessments where in her opinion centred on her own personal qualities rather than paying attention to the needs of the child.
To stereotype a parent in this manner is in our opinion totally out of order. We believe that this is more about cost cutting rather than provision social care. We intend to fight the decision here and shame the member of staff whom should not hold such a post in our opinion.

Took my daughter there for 2nd time emergancy and nearly 3 hrs there to say she its her emotions. 15yrs old crying for help bad thoughts low mood depression and get a leaflet to help with breathing technics and control anger. No sorry i could sit in there chair and give that advice, disgraceful for young people who have mental health. All they ask for is help.

Total waste of time. They don't listen to you. I've been trying for a year and half to get my son assessed for autism , I was told to forget about autism for the moment and it won't change anything. No it won't change anything but I can get help from autism outreach for my son. His already being assessed for ADHD by the hospital as camhs didn't want to know. He also has learning difficulties focal epilepsy behavioural problems and tactile skin sensitive. Can't write won't put on to paper .don't know how these people have jobs
