Absolutely a disgrace. It's good that they are shutting down. I cannot speak for Duru because to be fair, he has always been a good doctor to me, but the system and the reception staff are genuinely dreadful. They constantly either lie or omit information. They constantly say that they'll do or have done something which will then be contradicted by another member of staff. They have more 'zero tolerance for abuse' signs up than common sense and good client practice. They send out text reminders, and then you arrive to be informed no one can see you after you've made a hard journey. The practice is being shut down soon, and rightfully so. Clearly there's either an issue with policy, management or staff training. It's a joke.

Dear Covid-19, you came for these doctors and no one else.
1. They don't see people face to face anymore.
2. They don't make appointments in advanced anymore.
3. They keep telling call at 8am in the morning for an appointment but you can't get hold of them in the morning as the phone keep saying call again later.
4. If you are lucky to get on the phone call queue, you will wait for almost an hour if not more and then line get disconnected.
5. If you are lucky to get hold of them which is extremely rare, guess what, you are right, NO APPOINTMENTS available.
6. The same story goes on.
7. Some of the receptionists are not just rude and unhelpful, but arrogant and horrible.
This is not just my story but almost all the patients in this surgery right now.
Never had any issues until the Covid-19 came around.

Had doctor Duru over 20 years and yes we have had our ups and downs in the past as he can sometimes be very blunt.I have to say I'm disappointed that I past 3 years I only seen him once for a few minutes. Always telephone appointments. As for his reasepsionist there is 3 of them .One is usually ok and gets things dealt with like reapet prescription and appointments. She as been there the longest .Then the women that as worked there a couple of years She is a peace of work she thinks that she is above her job description I don't know who the hell she thinks is shouting her mouth of down the phone making me out to be a lair when it was her in the wrong .Then you have the new lad that is being taute by these people I actually feel sorry for him as he as no idea most of the time what he is doing and usually as to put a different receptionist on to speake to me .I really am not surprised the Duru practice as been closed down .Only I am worried now as to how we as the public patient's will get treated .I not very good with change I just hope it works out for the best J Howarth 🙏

Bunch of liars not even professional, says to call at 8 for an appointment when you can’t even get through to them. Every-time i tried to connect myself with them with the option 1 for an appointment it says how busy they are and cuts off the calls immediately. What kind of a surgery is this. I am so disappointed the duru practice has gone so downhill. I recommend people not to register with them absolutely appalling.

Dr Duru is a absolute joke.

He took me off his surgery because i challenged him intellectually and he didn't like it.

I have been with his surgery for 18+ years and never thought a doctor would behave and speak to his patients with such disgusting manner.

You try to speak to him nicely and he takes it the wrong way and says you are giving me attitude and being aggressive.

The surgery needs investigating, nearly all the complaints on here are the same, this it self tells you something is not right with the doctor.

He needs to fix up or he should get stripped off medical licence.

Gutted to see dr Duru practice go, he has been my doctor for over 10 years. Although most reviews are bad, I have always felt as though I understand dr duru as a person and a doctor too. Although he has a reserved character which in Oldham most would feel abrasive that he doesn’t engage in too much conversation, and may feel it offensive, he is always nice to us and polite to my children too. Avoid this place!! Been on the phone 30min first in queue and they still can't be bothered to pick up. No face to face appointments and when u ring them they say they don't have any availability and can't book for Tomorrow either. Dr duru is a rude man who will not let you finish the sentence and have no compassion for patients. My mum been in pain for last 3days waiting for test results and I can't even get in touch with them to ask about it. Absolute rubbish.
Update : tried ringing the 2nd time and after 43min of waiting they put me on hold and hung up. Complaint coming their way. No respect for patients at all.

Dr duru has been my doctor for 20yrs , yes he can be a bit abrupt but he's always been great with me , I have never struggled for an appointment the reception staff are great , will be sad to leave the practice
