From start to finish I felt my care was a priority. The surgical team were fantastic. Fiona the Physio was very supportive with clear instructions and reassurance about my progress. I came away being very clear as to the rehabilitation programme going forward.
The nursing staff were always on hand if needed and always both cheerful and professional. My room was exceptionally clean.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hospital.

Second time in the duchy and it's never let me down. From the moment I arrived I was made at ease, first the reception team and then the very friendly porter. Room was excellent and clean. The people that visited before my operation were all excellent in what they did. I think it was Lisa who took care of me and she always went above and beyond, she was great. The young lady who took me down to theatre was so bubbly and friendly I immediately felt at ease. Theatre staff were all great too. I could go on but basically for me the duchy is highly recommended, such a pleasurable place to have your procedure. Thank you.

First class from start to finish. From the anaesthetist and consultant who came in to see me before the operation itself. Nursing staff and catering staff. Nothing was too much trouble and I was kept fully informed and reassured throughout the entire process. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and I couldn’t recommend the hospital enough.

I was in for a day surgery. Staff were brilliant, Agi was my porter, he was really friendly and put me at ease. Every member of staff I met from start to finish were brilliant and he was discharged when ready. All information I needed was provided to me and the nursing staff, catering staff, recovery, physio and theatre staff were incredible. This hospital is by far the best I’ve ever received treatment in. I had to travel from Leeds for my procedure which was entirely my choice, but was 100% the right choice. If I need surgery or treatment again I would be delighted if I was referred to the Duchy.

My grandma, Kathleen Machin, recently had knee reconstruction surgery, and it’s been truly life-changing. She’s gone from constant pain to walking miles without discomfort – it’s incredible. She calls it the best decision she’s ever made. We owe this transformation to her surgeon, Professor Nick London, who was superb, and her physiotherapist, Liam Chapman, who was nothing short of magnificent. Liam worked wonders with her, especially in helping to straighten her leg, making the whole recovery even more effective. We couldn’t be more grateful for their care and expertise.

Excellent service from beginning to end, first greeted by a lovely person on reception and a very cheerful and friendly porter. The whole team who were there for my surgery were amazing, I had a fantastic conversation with them. They made sure I was comfy and happy and talked me through everything, I was so impressed by the actual surgery and loved watching ever bit of it and Mr Powell Smith made sure I could watch as he knew I was very intrigued by it all. A special shoutout to the porter Sadie who put me in a fabulous mood, after feeling quite nervous, as you would for any surgery, and to Rose who took me down to surgery and was also assisting in the room, she was an absolute star and a good laugh! I couldn’t fault a single thing about my experience and I look forward to seeing the team again when I have surgery on my other wrist. I hope the company appreciates all members of staff at the Duchy hospital because they are all amazing people. 100% will recommend the hospital to others! Thank you to everyone at the Duchy!!!

First overnight stay at The Duchy Hospital Harrogate for a partial knee replacement. Was very nervous, but quickly found the whole amazing nursing team on hand to help alleviate my fears and concerns. Would highly recommend Mr Damian Bull, who is very approachable, kind and extremely down to earth. A very positive experience from start to finish.

I was very impressed with the way the staff looked after me, and the treatment on offer both during the surgery and the after care. I found the knee classes both useful and re assuring with the opportunity to compare progress with other patients.
