Very poor response to an emergency prescription. No medication for over a week due to practice sending a digital prescription to pharmacy and NOT supplying a paper prescription so that it could be collected ASAP.

Aged 80 I have registered with various practitioners due to work travel etc. Without doubt this is the worst of all! You have receptionists who think they are doctors and doctors who are more interested in their own poorly paid overworked position and asking you to send any complaints to your MP on their behalf! Yesterday I experienced this to the extent I was rushed out of the doctors room before I even had a chance to explain fully my problem. Suffice to say that after almost 4 years they still have not made any attempt to obtain my past medical history, and I have been seriously ill/hospitalised on various occasions! I am looking for recommendations by others of moving to another better run practice, suggestions welcome!

I have been at this practice now for a year after leaving my old one. I can’t say one bad word about this practice, the receptionists are so polite and friendly and go out of their way to help. The GPs are amazing, not judgmental and really sit and listen and make sure everything has been dealt with before you leave the room. I definitely recommend the surgery.

My husband had an appointment this morning for an urgent matter. The traffic around the practice is awful today due to 4 way traffic lights at the bottom of the road backing up cars all the way to town and the motorway. He was 7 minutes late. Doctors discretion. Don't see. Since everyone is going to be late this myDue to the traffic I guess it's going to be a quiet day

Amazing practice.
In all my 62 years I have finally found a surgery where all staff show respect and offer genuine help to patients.
Reception staff are always cheerful in person and on the phone.
My GP is amazing, polite, thoughtful and professional

My husband had an appointment this morning and unfortunately because of unforeseen traffic congestion and the fact that he couldn't could find a parking space ( probably because most of them are taken up by staff), he arrived 5 minutes late to be told that he couldn't see the doctor because he was late. The next appointment he could have was for a month's time, even though it was the doctor who had requested he come to see her.! She was in all likelihood running late anyway so it wouldn't have made that much difference if he'd waited. But trying to reason with reception staff is a futile experience - " Computer says no" etc ! It seems there is one rule for them and another for us as it doesn't matter that we can be kept waiting for god knows how long and telephone appointments are never on time but let us be 5 minutes late and that's it - back of the queue again. I really don't know why they think their time is more important than ours

I phoned to book an appointment last thursday to see the doctor today as im experiencing pain in my right shoulder all the way down my right arm into my hand . I arrived at the surgery today for my 3:10 appointment time to find out the appointment hasn’t been booked in at all . To say i’m disappointed is a understatement as i work shifts as a bus driver and to arrange another appointment will take time to organise, plus with christmas close it will be near impossible ?
