Very quiet ward with some lovely clients. Rooms a lack of furniture, could do with at least a desk. Very clean ward. Food very good. Staff fantastic, encourage me to join in with games and activities. Well done all. Pity I hade to leave to come back to Colchester. Thanks all terry

Just make sure you log all of your belongings before admission. I have had over £100 worth of property taken off me including a Bluetooth speaker, jewellery and other personal belongings.
The majority of the staff are highly unprofessional and abusive! Just 24 hours was enough for me...

rude bullying abusive arrogant psychiatrist had to bring formal complaint I am not the patient but my husband's full time carer the staff are incompetent for over 2 years I have had to put up with one incompetence after another including giving drugs that my husband' has already had to abandon because of severe side effects! Does nobody ever read notes! Never ring back when they say they will don't turn up to home appointments and don't bother to tell you that they are not coming accused me of not turning up for an appointment that they didn't tell me that they made for my husband. Telepathy is not yet my strong point! Inviting another family member to attend a care review even though they don't have power of attorney and not informing me being kept out of the loop even though I am my husband's full time carer and wife I could go on and on and on these people wear you down and drive you crazy they have caused me more grief than I get from looking after my husband who has Parkinson's dementia with Lewy bodies a very challenging form of dementia the Crystal centre is supposed to support you! With their cold unfeeling attitude they are like robots they cannot or will not think outside of the box they are inflexible unyielding unfit for purpose!

Currently detained atm, can't even get a cup of tea when I ask. Staff break things and steal patients legitimate possessions. I've seen abuse on other patients by staff and the doctors lie about being doctors.
I've not been given my rights,constantly ignored and they use Gitmo tactics on me.

Absolutely spot on - got me through a really bad point in my life and I left feeling a new man - even put up with my poor sense of humour! Was going to knock a star off for the terrible pool table but the food was grand (swings & roundabouts). Don’t agree with the one star reviews the staff were amazing and really supportive. Thanks!

If I could vote 0 stars I would. The staff here are extremely unsympathetic and abusive to their patients and relatives. They laugh in your face and give you no time. Just a short stay here could make your illness considerably worse. Absolute disgrace.

Wouldn't trust any of them as they frequently lie and trick patients. Extremely unprofessional and extreme lack of sympathy and compassion with all the patients. A disgrace.

What is this place? I think they let the inpatients answer the phone because they make NO SENSE. Trying to get information is as painful as pulling teeth out without anesthetic.
