I went to the back door of Cedar Practice to submit a urine sample, as requested by my doctor, Hesha da Silva (who is very attentive). This seemed logical to me because that's where blood samples are also collected. However, when I spoke to the receptionist, instead of simply directing me to the front door, she was extremely rude. She didn't seem to understand what I was saying, and ultimately told me, in front of another patient who was trying to help, 'This isn't a hospital, we don't accept urine samples here. Go somewhere else.' This was incredibly embarrassing, and I was so upset by her treatment that I now don't want to return for any help or assistance."

I had an appointment with Dr. Robert at the Cedar Practice today and was thoroughly impressed. His understanding and caring approach made me feel truly heard and valued as a patient. Dr. Robert’s professionalism and empathy are commendable, and I am grateful for his exceptional support. Highly recommended.

I've been attending this GP surgery for nearly 27 years, and it has terribly gone downhill.
Receptionists, in particular, are very rude and abrupt, Mary specifically!
I popped in to ask about a blood test and forms to complete, and I receive eye rolls and patronising comments. I stated the last time I had a blood test I was able to book it in and pop next door with a blood test slip, she told me go online to book an consult form, when I wanted to clarify if it was the JSHC website she rolled her eyes and asked if I was registered at the surgery and said in an aggressive tone " no it's the cedar practice".
She then told me no appointments are available until March and when I asked to book an appointment also to speak to a GP about other issues she reluctantly asked me for my date of birth and once again stated " well, why do you need to book an appointment ? It's a waste of everyone's time, just go online and book the blood test. "
Honestly, I am considering leaving as this is not the first time she has been so patronising and aggressive.

Receptionist rude, unhelpful, talked over me & kept telling me to Google the solution to my issue, when I had told her several times that I have been Googling for over a week, to no avail. Right from the start her manner & tone of voice was disinterested & this was at the START of her shift, Heaven only knows what she is like at the end of it! I asked to be put through to the admin assistant (as I had been advised previously by another receptionist), instead she handed me over to another receptionist, Perpetua, who was polite & helpful, thankfully, & luckily for the previous woman, was not prepared to give me her name! She knows who she is, though, & perhaps she should look for another job which fulfils her more!

The service at Cedar Practice has consistently worsened despite my lifelong visits. On Thursday, I had a 9:00 AM appointment and thought I was checked in at 8:50 AM. The receptionist was chatting with a colleague the entire time and, unbeknownst to me, didn't check me in at all, causing a 30-minute wait. I only discovered the error after approaching the desk again. She apologised and said I'd be seen after another patient, which delayed me further. This lack of professionalism made me late for work, resulting in reprimands and a ruined day. Instead of doing your job, you choose to sit around and gossip all day. This is unacceptable and makes me never want to come back here again.

Have only had great experiences at Cedar Practice - helpful admin staff, competent doctors who always take my issues very seriously, immediately book follow-up appointments or referrals (surprisingly speedy) if necessary, really nice nurses that made me feel at ease and well taken care of every time I had a check up. Love this GP and can absolutely recommend!

I’m not sure why the reviews on here are so low but I personally love this practice. At my previous GP they refused to see me and constantly dismissed my symptoms. But the Cedar Practice has always made use of their resources, it is easy to book appointments and they see you very quickly. They have a blood test centre as well. I am very happy 🙂
