Absolutely appalling company - I have dealt with 5 care companies and this has been far the worst. It all started off ok, 2 staff came to visit me, very pleasant, respectful- told me all I wanted to hear after me telling them what a terrible time we had, had prior with my 6 year old son…..
First carer, was cancelled the night before - they told me not to worry; we are sending someone else (which was a bit annoying, as I had done social stories all week about his female carer, now she’s cancelled and their sending me a male, however I decided to accept somebody different as my son is eager to have a fun day out) - the male I was promised - was meant to be at mine by 9am, then I got a text past 9am saying he’ll be there at 11…. It got past 11 & he never turned up. My son, who has autism, global delay & ADHD was absolutely beside himself in tears. I was thinking everyone deserves a second chance right? Despite everything telling me to cut it off there and then.
I go with my social workers advice & give them a second chance and my goodness do I wish I hadn’t..The carer turned up, and as previously discussed this would be a taster session (1-2 hours) a nice meal with my son, nothing else…
I wasn’t filled with confidence and carer didn’t know the area, or even how to put his car seat in etc… she went out for a meal of fish & chips with him. Then the carer text me and said my son wanted to go the park, was this ok.. I said ok, but his bath/bedtime is by 6.30/7pm.. this was at 5pm…

Carers phone switched off - I went in to a full blown panic it got to 8pm and nothing. I rang the manager (give her, her dues she was brilliant)

Long story short; the carer had got them both locked in castle park (I live absolutely no where NEAR there!!!!) there’s lots of lovely parks where I live but she took him to a place where I think could be quite dangerous in the evening (my son is 6 & vulnerable…) came back well past 8pm, freezing, thirsty - no apologies from carer whatsoever !!! She didn’t even come to the door!!! She let my son just come to the door. Not only was she an awful carer she put my son and risk and clearly pocketed his money - I gave £20 and received no change whatsoever .. all he had was sausage & chips from the chippy! Staff told me I would be given receipts (I wasn’t) I would avoid this company especially if you have vulnerable children’s or adults. Never ever would I recommend!!

I came across to care advantage after my care needs had changed and I needed a more structured approach to my care, which they were able to achieve for me. The manager Adrian and the carers go above and beyond to offer me support and kindness not only with my physical health but mental health too. I even enjoy my time I spend with them. Due to my health needs I have a complex drug regime which was no problem to them and have structured my call times to work around all my daily needs. I can't thank Adrian and his team enough for they do for me.

I worked alongside the team at the care advantage when I was looking for and alternative care provider for my mother. Unfortunately she passed away before we could start however osman and his team have been extremely supportive over this difficult time. I’m sure my mother would have been well cared for simply based on the compassion and support we’ve received.
