This review is for the Ashby Clinic. Rang to enquire regarding an outstanding prescription having been contacted by Lloyds Direct who arrange prescriptions and delivery. I was spoken to by a female who told me I couldn't have my prescription (for asthma inhaler) unless I had my review. I explained that I couldn't have my review last year as the surgery had building work going on and were closed and that I had rung the Birches Ironstone Centre in the town to book another, but they said it was OK and to book one for July 2024. The female I spoke to at The Birches Ashby Clinic was extremely rude, shouting at me and talking to me as if I was a 5 year old. I will certainly not be having anything to do with the Ashby Clinic in the future. I will, however be communicating with the Birches Ironstone Centre in town in future, as they were extremely helpful and polite when I spoke to them today. May I also say that because Ashby Clinic would not issue a prescription for my asthma inhalers due to me not having my review, that I have had to purchase the inhalers from an on-line GP. As a 70 year old pensioner this is not good enough. But then the NHS, and particularly the Birches Ashby Clinic, has gone so far downhill that it may as well not exist at all. In any case before too long, we will all be paying for our own medication whatever our age and circumstances. At least when we need something we can be sure we will get it, even though we'd have to pay.

I'm away at university and could not attend my medical review; the surgery was withholding my insulin prescription for that reason. I feel threatened by the staff who say that I need my review before prescriptions can be prescribed. Are they waiting for me to die because I haven't got my insulin Do they know what Type 1 Diabetes is I guess if I died I'd be off their hands!! They already know I'm in regular contact with my Diabetes team at the hospital who are more knowledgeable about my condition than some non-existent GP and rude and unhelpful receptionist. I am seriously considering changing my practice if they don't book their ideas up and give patients the respect and compassion we deserve!!

I actually went to the West Common Lane Practice. There was no receptionist at either medical practice and I was told that the doctor would come for me when he was ready. He didn't, he didn't even know I was there! I waited for 20 minutes and I finally went to his room myself. He had put me down as "Not attending"! He did see me and agreed with my diagnosis, said the items I required were on my repeat list and questioned why I had come to see him, basically because the receptionist said I had to! Hopefully next time I have this problem I WON'T have to go through this rigmarole!!

Turn my daughter away every time who's 11 months old tell me every time to ring 111 Find it very difficult to get seen face to face with any of the GP's when I did the dr was unintressted. Also there is a very rude receptionist called Elaine every time I ring up she either makes me cry or set my anxiety of leading to me hanging up and not getting the help I needed and or upsets my partner will definitely be putting in complaints both my partner and I even gave us chelp when it came to my 6 month old daughters appointments.
Has absolutely no respect and needs speaking to its one thing people ringing up and being disrespectful to staff but she is supposed to help not be rude herself! I'm guessing when people have commented on here about a receptionist they are meaning ELAINE!

About 70% of the times I order my repeats does someone Not do their job and process my prescriptions. I put my repeat in a week ago and they haven’t even sent it to a pharmacy that is next door to the surgery. I wish Dr Hayes would come back to practice.I phoned on a Monday regarding my repeat prescription. And the pharmacy have only received one item. I've been sat in the waiting room before and phoned them. And the 2 receptionist were too busy talking about Live Island the pressed something and put me on hold while they had a cosy chat. Yet I was sat in front of them to see the Nurse. 4 days notification and they can't sort that out in 4 days. This Practice seriously hurt you by messing about with your Mental Health. So I will call CQC and NHS England.Ive just phoned them again and got a load of abuse and cockyness off them. Ok I'll just walk up to the Surgery. Extremely unprofessional and Aragont as you could be. They're not so cocky when you go to the place. I know the voice and she Denied answer the phone. Yet she was the only one sat there. Then see said Mental Health isn't an emergency. Ex Bacon factory worker.

Rang for an appointment at their prompting. Waited in the queue, got to number 1 then was cut off. Rang back only to listen to the message saying it was dinner time!

Tuesday 12 October
Very rude and uncaring staff, asked for an appointment , abruptly told none left, This receptionist is notorious in the practice, she is so rude, unkind, uncaring and unhelpful, just ask other patients, she knows who she is, you would think that in mental health awareness week questions would be asked as to why an appointment is needed

Called at 3pm on 17th march.a very arrogant and unhelpful receptionist with a couldn't care less attitude even though I informed her I was a vulnerable person due to guidelines laid down by the UK government. Don't register with birches if you want to be treated like a human being.
