Just moved to this surgery, first time needing to speak to a Doctor I rang at 9am as had other calls come through! Thought I’m going to be told to ring back the following day now but No Receptionist got a Doctor to call within 2 hours, Doctor was thorough and cautious, prescribed what was needed and precautionary prescription also! Not had such experience as the above since March 2020! Really feel much safer for me & my little ones being under this Surgery; ?

One or two receptionists are so rude which lets it down for everyone else. They speak to you like you are the dumbest person ever and one time even read out my private notes loudly in-front of other patients when i did not request them or even mention them. They also spoke very loud in-front of a full waiting room and it almost felt like they were trying to embarrass me as i mixed up my appointment date. Simply no need and i know a few others who have had experiences similar. We are there to get better not be spoken down to.

Dr Hargreaves has been compassionate and understanding whilst diagnosing me promptly and treating me effectively. She communicates well, with a reassuring wealth of experience. Although things may seem straight forward on the face of things, having passed through the referral system as a patient I have witnessed the sheer mountain of bureaucracy, push backs and hurdles that a GP is expected to negotiate / fight on my behalf all for something routine.

I called 111 and they said l should call the doctors surgery. I called them and the friendly receptionist promised a call back as was standard during the Virus. I got a call from Dr Hargreaves within 30 minutes. She listened to my issues and arranged for me to upload some pictures to her and promised to call me back when she had seen them. She called straight back and then spent at least 15 minutes with me. She booked an appointment for me to come in and have tests. She arranged a prescription for that day. Brilliant service in the middle of a pandemic ?

Both of my young children are very unwell and we phoned this morning to get an emergency appointment to then be told by the resptionest to call back at two. We called at two an was then asked questions by the resptionest about why we were booking an appointment for her to then tell us we can't have one, my daughter is now screaming in pain because a RESPTIONEST thinks she's a doctor. DISCUSTING AND WRONG. RESPTIONESTS ARE PAID TO ANSWER PHONES AND BOOK APOINTMENTS NOT TURN PEOPLE AWAY BECAUSE THEY THINK THERE DOCTORS
