Absolutely disgusted with the service. I have been under them for almost 3 years and yet still have to fight for everything. Have left appointments multiple times in tears due to them making me feel inadequate and not listened to. Not once have they read my care or safety plan and have ignored multiple attempts of trying to get additional help and instead of helping me they pulled most of my support. Was told I would get a new care coordinator and I still have not received one due to "staffing issues". The service is appalling and I am not the only one I know to have gone through this experience.

The woman I spoke to in my initial appointment was lovely. Originally got told I'd be seeing someone who'd he able to help get me a diagnosis, I saw a group that just puts you in contact with a million other groups for counseling. Yes I appreciate the help but they also didn't listen to my goals so it seemed a bit pointless. Plus was asked if I was okay with other areas such a GPS or counseling groups to receive my info would be passed on so they were all clued in on what they needed to know and the avenue I wanted to take. Didn't happen either. 2 years after my appointment and I'm still waiting for relevant information to be passed across. Very defensive receptionist. Didn't feel comfortable talking to her.

I can't fault this place, because my CPN has been amazing and I've always been able to get hold of her when I need her. She has always been there for me when I need someone to talk to. I've moved all over the UK and been under so many mental health services.. and this service is the best one by a mile! You get so much support and they are very easy to open up to and understand your needs and mental health to a T. They help explain your condition and help with finding ways of coping. I don't know where I would be with out the support of my Amazing CPN.

And it's only one star because I can't do half. Condescending, incompetent, un trained. 3 words that adequately describe this place. Telling me I'm OK coming off my lithium for a day or two if I wanted to get smashed. Had no contact since February even though I'm meant to have bloods every 3 months for levels and because if this they have me coming in for a review and stopped my medication completely. The service is nothing short of atrocious and I'm sorry but I'm going to the ombudsman over this. They are playing with people's lives.

Perhaps some of the worst support I have ever had in 20 years of poor service from mental health services in the UK.
More interested in diagnosis of convenience than actually offering unbias support and help.

I strongly urge anyone in this service or considering it to visit mind instead or seek private support.
The only resident psychiatrist is more interested in his own ego than listening to the patients.

if I could give 0 stars or - I would. I am disgusted... I was referred in 2021 by my Dr for C.B.T therapy, and since the whole covid thing I gave it a years lee-way..... called the service up today for an enquiry (not only about me but my partner/carer as well) we have updates...

apparently mine was DECLINED due to them 'booking' and appointment, no turn up and then referred back to the person who referred me, back when the referral was made, (btw, I have had NO CONTACT with this service AT ALL on any phone, text, email or letter... so yeah... waste of time for me.

my partner's on the other hand was sent out mid November 2022, and same with him, apparently something about an 'appointment' on the 12th January 2023, (also we have not received any confirmation from them regarding this 'Appointment') she said something about being sent back to the person in charge at our Dr's this is appalling behaviour... will be asking our DR's to send us ANYWHERE but here. waste of time.

This place is absolutely shocking. On more than one occasion, I have not been called back. I have turned up for two appointment and nobody knew about them. Second time...she was on holiday. I've gone to Mind instead and they already have been 100% better.
This is not mental health care.

Amazing service in my time of need. All the staff where welcoming and in no way at all judging. They made me feel at ease, listened, assessed me and helped me understand my diagnosis. Outstanding.
