My Mum is now 91 and still living in her own home, which wouldn't be possible without the support she has received from Take Care over the past 8 years.
Mum developed dementia back then and we approached Take Care on the recommendation of a friend. Anita, Julie and the carers they provide truly do 'take care' of Mum. Until a few years ago, I was living in Australia and both Anita and Julie were brilliant at keeping me informed about what was happening with Mum.
They provide a shopping service for Mum and (until Covid-19 hit) were taking Mum out twice a week to do this, recognising the importance of social interaction. Mum had the same carer for many years, who recently left, and I have complete faith in whichever carer is allocated to Mum.
Anita, Julie and everyone really do live up to their 'Take Care' name.

We have had an excellent experience with Take Care, who visit my mother twice a week. She is 91 and we only manage to visit her about once a month - we live in west Berkshire and, although we ring her regularly every week, talking to her over the phone is quite ‘challenging’ as she is deaf.

We heard about Take Care from an aged neighbour of hers who recommended them to us. I have to say that ever since their ladies started visiting her, she has perked up significantly, and always looks forward to their visits. It’s also taken a lot off of our minds as we no longer need to worry about her having enough food in now as they do some regular shopping of essentials for her as well, and they keep us updated.

All in all, we have been extremely happy with Take Care and their visits have made a big difference to my mother life and wellbeing and I would thoroughly recommend them.

We have used Take Care for nearly 5 years, they have been caring, flexible and reliable.
Mum looked forward to her daily visit from one of her "ladies", (we had 3 over the week). The ladies were patient, friendly, helpful and managed to make her laugh! One taught herself to knit so that she could help Mum with her knitting. Without their help Mum would have gone into a care home much earlier.
Take Care took good care of Mum and her Dog and we would highly recommend them.

My mother has been very unwell since having a stroke last Christmas. It has been very difficult to manage this as we have full time jobs. I approached Take Care on a recommendation from a Charity Advisor. I talked to Julie who was so sympathetic and agreed to visit my Mum the next day. Julie arranged for Dee to visit my Mother weekly for a respite visit. This has been life changing to the extent that we hired engaged a second help from Jennifer to help Mum with cleaning, moreover a good chat. Both of these lovely ladies have made such a difference to my Mum, she is much happier, optimistic and alive again. I have my Mum back. She looks so forward to seeing them every week and I can't thank Take Care enough. I highly recommend this lovely caring company to anyone struggling with care for their treasured elderly relatives. It has been such a stress relief for all of us. Thank you Take Care!

We’ve had the fabulous benefit of Mum's team of companion carers from Take Care for several years now, including leading up to my dad’s death two years ago and then in the hard time that followed. It has been great to have the regular warmth and assistance from these lovely people across so many ups and downs.

I’ve really wanted to make sure Mum has a feeling of a continuing social life, even though she is now very frail and immobile. I don’t know how this would have been possible but for Take Care. Their visits are an essential part of her wellbeing, giving her a solid group of friends who are regularly there for her.

There are lots of ways in which the carers help her in practical terms, of course. Mark has been brilliant in sorting out the bird-feeding which Mum loves, and everyone makes great suggestions to help things feel better and run more smoothly. Throughout the lockdowns of the last year, the carers have been totally dedicated and maintained their visits and support. They have been amazing.

We have used Take Care for my Aunt for 3 years now and are most impressed with their professionalism, friendliness and personalised support. My Aunt is 98 now and rather forgetful but strong-minded. The ladies from Take Care have been consistent, kind and patient with her. We can not thank them enough - especially for helping us to keep her safe during COVID 19 times. She looks forward to their company and appreciates their kindness immensely.

Take Care are a fantastic company. They match their Community Assistants with the elderly and vulnerable to help them live independently.
The assistants who have visited my parents weekly for 3 years are lovely, prompt and efficient. It's great to have the same person week after week to maintain continuity and report any concerns.
