Really impressed with this place. The garage was upfront about what the price could be depending on a few different outcomes, and they made sure I was happy to go ahead before doing any work. The final cost was more than fair. Also, Maggie the dog was the best surprise such a gentle, friendly giant. Made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back if I’m in the area.

SWB have been looking after our 23 year old VW Golf for years. They have always been excellent and given good advice. Today 20th February 2025 we had a problem with the boot of the car getting stuck. We were worried about this and rang the Garage who were very busy and they said they would look at it for us if we popped it up there and then. We were very grateful for that at such short notice. Amazing garage, amazing customer service, professional team working with heart, charge was decent. I bought my first car Honda Jazz and had some clicking noise. Now it's driving smooth and perfect after they solve the issue professionally. I strongly recommend this garage!

I had high hopes for their service, but was left overcharged with secondary damage. What was initially quoted as £180 job, was instantly raised to £220 as he referred to his colleague. I agreed and left my car overnight with them. On collection, he presented me with a bill of £302!! No phone calls were made to advise of higher charge, nor explanations provided when I questions the bill.. simply: "well, specialist repair charged us more.." I walked away only to find that fob was no longer working and I had to use manual key. Due to nature of the job done I am certain they did something so I can come back for them to fix it. When I did, he quoted me further £120 for repair of the fob, and denied that they caused it not to work. Upon consultation and investigation - YES THEY DID!
Place is unfriendly, dodgy with arrogant staff and Rottweiler who's keeping an eye on everything - yeap.. that kind of place... don't complain - they may set him off on you! STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO LOOK ELESWHERE!

I visited SWB Motors after being recommended by my previous mechanic as I had an issue with my DPF. Del was very profesional and the customer service was always on hand every time I called. While the issue wasn't immediately resolved it, was the aftercare and service to resolve the initial fix that makes SWB a mechanic you can trust to uphold their proffesional integrity. I had no issues with the car after it was fixed and would reccommend using SWB.
