I’ve had 3 non emergency appointments in 3 weeks. The call back service worked perfectly in my initial appointment and booked in easily for my second. Whilst there I managed to book another appointment for a separate issue a week in advance. This has led to referrals and prescriptions. I feel like I’ve been assessed thoroughly and given a wide range of options for best treatment. Brilliant service from Dr Baker

I would like to say a big thank you to the Staff and Doctors at Swallownest Health Centre. From a surprise phone call from Jackie for a cancellation appointment for the next day and to Ruth for her lovely smile and fitting me in to see a Doctor straight away and to Doctor Davis and Doctor Baker for seeing me straight away.

On two occasions now I've asked to see a doctor only to be told to see the pharmacist and they would refer me if they felt it necessary, since when where they qualified phycisians!! the doctors are great if you can actually get to see one unfortunately your health is in the hands of the receptionists.

I barely ever ask for help, and when I finally do I get fobbed off by the receptionist and told to go to A and E for foot pain. Like I've got time for that! Mentioned it *could* be a hairline fracture but I need a doctor to look at it. Disgusting the way some people are treated and I'm thoroughly disappointed.

I had an appointment with doctor Evans yesterday. I would like to thank her for saving me from some serious ill health after she revered me to the hospital. I recently had an appointment at a neighbouring practice and the diagnosis was not accurate. Doctor Evans has a lovely manner and I instantly felt at ease in her company.

I work for the NHS myself and this practice is horrendous.Rude receptionist, a new phone service that refers to the receptionists as been "agents". Thought i'd called a sales call centre, not a health centre.

Not a good experience!
I contacted the Centre with really bad headaches that I have been experiencing for a couple of weeks, the pain getting gradually worse. So much so that I had to book an appointment. When I explained my symptoms to a receptionist over the phone she immediately spoke to a doctor who promptly booked me in the same day, so I drove down from work (Newcastle! Over a hundred miles). Unfortunately I hit traffic on the A1 and was 1/4 hour late for my appointment. The receptionist informed me that I could not get another appointment. So thanks Swallownest; a great response. I’m now arranging to go to A&E to see if they can help.

I wished I could be a patient here. My father who suffers from Dementia lives in this area and I am his carer. What a superb practice this is, no matter what issues I have with him the staff there receptionists (caring and considerate), GP's (who are called out and provide assessments and treatment) and partner agencies e.g Breathing Space, Physiotherapists are so polite with me, attentive and professional. They listen carefully to the problems and provide me with the care and support I need for my father. I cannot praise them enough. All the people I speak to bend over backwards to help me during this difficult period of care.
