I haven’t even been to this practice yet, although I am registered. The reason being : MISINFORMATION.
I have been trying to make an appointment to get Hepatitis B booster dose since November of last year. My appointment was made 3-4 times and cancelled every time on the same day with the excuse that the clinician called in sick. Today, I called to rearrange an appointment as was initially told that there would be a charge - to which I said ok.

She then said 5 mins later (After putting me on hold) that they do NOT provide such services for under 25 year old. This was the first time in about 3 months that I was given this information. Immensely disappointing. Would NOT recommend.

I’ve been with this GP surgery for over a year now, and I’m so glad I chose this practice despite some of the negative reviews I initially came across online. I’m writing my first review because I truly believe credit should be given where it’s due.

As someone who has lived with agoraphobia for most of my life—and as a survivor of domestic violence—sensitivity and compassion are incredibly important to me when dealing with healthcare professionals.

My GP, Dr. Aba Carboo, has been exceptional. Her bedside manner is lovely, empathetic, and professional. She takes the time to understand me and supports me through my life’s challenges in a way that makes me feel heard and cared for. I genuinely couldn’t ask for a better GP.

I also want to highlight the reception staff, especially Sindy. After I missed reminders for certain tests and reviews, Sindy personally called me. As an agoraphobe, even routine checkups can be overwhelming and anxiety-inducing for me. Sindy’s approach was incredibly kind and patient—she took the time to explain procedures, reassured me, and even offered her personal support for when I come in. Her dedication and compassion remind me that there are still people who are truly passionate about the work they do.

Thank you to Dr. Carboo, Sindy, and the rest of the team for making my healthcare journey less daunting.

I’ve been quite ill for 3 days, I tried calling to get an appointment and they offered an appointment for in 1 week. Then the receptionist asked me to describe my symptoms, and when I couldn’t speak loud enough or articulate enough, she told me to repeat myself because I wasn’t clear. I told her, yes I know it’s because I m ill and I need to see a doctor. She then said something I didn’t understand and hang up on me. I keep on being surprised by the quality of the health team and quality in this country sometimes. I have never been used to such mediocre services especially when dealing with sick people. The doctor I saw there once was nice, did a good job and she advised me to go get treated in France if I had the chance as the quality of care was much better… but the receptionist I just had who just hang up on me.. it’s so rude and unprofessional. I don’t even know what to say… I m just shocked by such a behaviour.

I just wanted to express Dr Ann is an exceptional GP. From the moment I entered the room, welcomed me with a cheerful smile, listened attentively and supported me with what I was looking for; physiotherapy and more referrals. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to her. Please hold onto her services as long as you can. It's so rare now to be served by an NHS GP such as Dr Ann. Thank you so much again!

I feel lucky to be registered with Suttons Wharf Heath Centre. My experience has been very positive. Very helpful and empathetic practitioners and staff. I had my first cervical screening test with nurse Vicky today. I always thought it would be very uncomfortable and painful; I could not believe how easy, pain-free and quick it was.
