I first contacted Sue nearly 3 years ago and at the time knew very little about the role acupuncture can play in re-balancing the body and mind. During this time Sue has enabled me to withdraw and eventually stop taking an anti-depressant; handle challenges in normal everyday life and enable me to lead a more enlightened life. Sue is an experienced practitioner working on many levels in a safe confidential environment.

After giving up all conventional approach to my back pain, I arrived in Sue Marston's care with a level of excitmenet and sceptasism since no other treatment worked. What I have gained from working with Sue, is not only a progressive improvement to my physical issues - but most valuable, and most remarkabale the change Sue has had on my entire outlook and life viewpoint. A woman with many talents, and if you are considering accupuncture (eastern) then Sue really goes the extra mile and ensures holistically, spiritually & mentally you get the care we often neglect is needed in this modern 24/7 digital, 150mph world.

I suddenly and unexpectedly developed a skin condition on my lower legs, which at it's height of severeness showed very large patches of itching raw skin. At first I was afraid I had some sort of developing skin cancer and then after research we believed I had some fungal condition and after further consulting of Dr. Google believed that I had caught this from the swimming pool or the spin cycling machines at the Leisure Centre!

I treated the skin with all sorts of various potions with limiting degrees of success. I consulted a past fellow student who is a homeopath and discussed the condition with her over the phone. I never visited her clinic, because of travel distance. She prescribed some homeopathy remedies, which initially seemed to clear it up and it had nearly all cleared when suddenly it returned.

After further Dr. Google research, we concluded that maybe it was a different condition described as venous stasis dermatitis. This is where poor circulation causes the skin to become dry and itchy and develop some sort of eczema. Nasty stuff.

Anyway, now nearly 12 months later I was still suffering and was getting quite depressed about it.

All of a sudden I received a message in my head that said acupuncture! Note, that I never had acupuncture ever before but I did have intimate knowledge of the meridian system an ancient Chinese technology that has been practiced for millennia.
I asked my wife did she know anyone and she reminded me that I had actually met Sue at a business networking event and she also attended my wife's women's only networking event not long ago.

I thought I was just going for acupuncture but Sue's knowledge goes far and hits deep within. Her knowledge about the mind-body connection is vast, a field that is more and more being confirmed by neurologists and scientists with double-blind studies and experiments. I hadn't realised how out of balance I was until I started speaking with Sue and listening to what she was sharing with me. I knew instantly after the 1st session that it wasn't just about the skin condition, the skin was just a result of my thinking and historical stuck emotions.

During 3 of the 6 sessions of acupuncture I received, I would that night or the next night have some incredible dreams which caused me to wake up sobbing. I could not stop the crying easily, there was so much old stuck emotions coming out. I wasn't surprised, at home we had 3 horrible years for many reasons and there was a lot of upset and stress in my family. I had held in a lot of emotion during those years and probably previous too. The acupuncture was able to go deep within me and unlock those stuck emotions and let them come out. As a consequence the patches of eczema are starting to clear up so significantly and much more then I had expected.

I had also made peace with it, after Sue's advice and Sue also reminded me of Eckhart Tolle's book, The Power of Now and suggested I research a section on the 'pain body'. When I read this chapter in the book, my wife already had the book by the way, my body went warm and I couldn't read on any further. I've since gone back and read the chapter again and now have the book as an audio version as well.

There's too much to mention here, but just want to end that I'm so thankful to Sue for her words, her treatment and her advice. This was far more than just acupuncture, this was therapy on so many levels and I will be eternally grateful for Sue's help and helping me remember the things I had started to ignore in my life to enhance my wellbeing. Thank you so much Sue!
