The worst medical centre I have experienced in 73 years of NHS medical care. Elderly patients are treated as an inconvenience and made to feel they are nothing more than a drag on medical services. Certain doctors make sure you know this by being dismissive,arrogant and condescending. Google Reviews show this practice is the worst performing practice in Newbury. Even their own patient review team is showing concerns on how this practice is under performing. Absolute disgusting service.

Receptionist was very helpful on phone. Saw a lovely Dr today that I've not seen before she put me at ease as I suffer with anxiety and will put going to drs off for as long as I can. My appointment was on time and I was given good advice by Dr...thank you

This Dr's surgery is fantastic and the doctors and staff always take great care to look after the patients. I've managed to get an emergency appointments 2 weeks in a row and they were on time. The doctors are very efficient and caring. They take my issues seriously and really do help. Thank you so much.

I was rather alarmed that the receptionist asked each patient the reason they were visiting the GP surgery on that particular day, as they "booked in". Now it matters not as to whether they are medically qualified, or not, patient confidentiality must be adhered to at all times and not broadcast across the waiting room.
Let us hope they take notice and cease this activity immediately.

The service policy appears to be 'Ignore potential new patients long enough & hopefully they will go away'. Have tried to register my 91 year old Mother with SHMC, totally ignored by Practice Manager & Senior GP Partner. Even though her next door neighbours are registered with Practice. No discretion or compassion whatsoever!

45 minutes on hold! Still no appointment because the reception team cause so much stress you need extra meds before you start!! Shame Google don't do a minis option.

i wanted to share feedback about my recent experience. There was a significant delay in receiving treatment/see dr the scheduled appointment from the doctor,my appointment was for 10.20am dr call me at 11.10am which caused some inconvenience. I understand delays can happen, But not always! whenever i took appointment i got the same issue!
but timely updates would be greatly appreciated.
cause of my all horrible experience im going to change my gp as soon as possible! Its horrible!
extremely bad service.

I’m I don’t usually write reviews, however every time we go to this Doctors surgery and see Dr.Irfan, he is always so professional, kind and understanding. I feel very lucky that he is our children's regular GP!
