As advised by the GP made a self referral attended a couple of session for my nasty knee ankle and hip pain did all the exercises given by them.
At 1st after a couple of visits in 2021 got a referral to Ipswich ankle surgery unit after 8 months of the xray was told that I had arthritis in the ankle and that that nothing could be done
After developing further joint pain went back in 2022 then was told nothing wrong with the ankle but arthritis in the knee after doing all their exercises managed to convince to get a referral to west suffolk hospital and finally managed to see the consultant who said the referral has been made for the ankle and not the knee
When contacted the person who answered the phone blamed me and said I who wanted the reffal for the ankle not the knee
When the physio has the reports and has to refer dies it have to be the patients to decide what referral has to be made
Shouldn't it be for knee hip and ankle
Now have start all over again and be on the waiting list for anther 26 weeks.
Do they want a healthy nation or a sick nation

Stow Lodge is staffed by well-trained physios, and to my delight - seeing them was free! I've been twice, and the issues that I had were the sort that can be dealt with using a range of exercises. So i followed my exercise regime, then went back for a check up to see that my nasty little hip injury was truly on the mend - and it was.

Amazing that this service is available through the NHS, thank you.

When ever I called stow lodge centre I got a recording saying the number you are called is not answering please try later so I tried again and got the engage sound, so I kept trying but not one was answering the phone. This has been going on for weeks now, I will have to go to Stowe lodge to hopefully speak to someone not happy as I have 2 sticks to get around. And in a lot of pain when walking.
