Wonderful admin staff, nurses and doctors. Genuinely fantastic family run clinic. HOWEVER, the radio is always set to the most abhorrent dance/rap music. Painful to sit through

I would give no stars as this surgery is so bad! I tried to get appointment with a doctor numerous times always waiting on phone to be told they are all taken then on monday was told when finally got through the doctor was off ring back tomorrow as there where appointments still available tho he still might not be in. So finally got through to second in line only to find out all appointments are gone and can refer to to some nurse again? How did those people use all the appointments before the day I rang when I was second in queue and you can't pre book? Absolutely useless and you can't book until a month away!!! I'm rarely at this surgery and when I am I'm rushed so only ever in there for 5 mins after having to wait for people who are in there sometimes over half hour!! Very poor uncaring useless service!

Really poor appointment process. I share a similar experience to the other bad reviews. My 14 year old daughter has quite bad tonsillitis. I waited nearly an hour on the phone to make an appointment in the morning. To then be told she couldn’t attend the surgery and we would be called (no time could be provided). I then received a call from a trainee, that repeated the same questions at least 4 times (horrendous listening skills). He then told me the Dr would call me tomorrow. I then received a call from the Lead nurse who advised she would need to see my daughter to make an assessment. When we finally got to the surgery they confirmed that my daughter had quite severe tonsillitis and prescribed antibiotics! Painful experience! I really think the Surgery needs to re-assess this appointment process now, considering all covid restrictions have been lifted by government. The time wasted today has been painful.

As someone in the medical field, I cannot believe the quality. In the 10+ years I've been at the surgery I have rarely needed to visit. However, for the past year I was experiencing some worrying symptoms and had to constantly push for referral and prove it wasn't anything minor. Similar for my other family members at the surgery who tried to get help; luckily I had some idea of what was wrong and could help them push for a diagnosis by aiding them in what to suggest as the GPs will consistently brush it off and ignore symptoms as "the new normal" !?! (A phrase I had been told far too much. It is the phrase of giving up in a patient) The advice is poor and the communication is poor.

There is one receptionist in particular who is rather rude and short, I see other reviews have picked up on this. I don't know her name but if I did I would lodge a complaint.

As a patient, you shouldn't need medical training to be able to get your GP to actually listen to you. It makes me genuinely concerned for patients that didn't have aomeone at home to persuade them to keep pressing for a diagnosis/referral/treatment.

For me, I was left in so much pain due to the GP leaving worrying symptoms so long, I had to call 111 who immediately prescribed me appropriate medication and suggested hospital help if it didn't work. That one phone call gave me more help than a year with this practice.

Terrible GP practice, awful, disinterested admin staff. Could never get an appointment with the GP, always palmed off on the consultant nurses who wouldn't do anything more than write a prescription without the doctor's say so.

Had the good sense to leave and get an actual doctor.

Was a patient for 4 years since moving into the area, worst mistake I ever made. Rarely came to the practice but when I did pretty much everything was put down to anxiety. Which I didn't have.

Since leaving, my conditions have worsened but I've eventually got diagnoses for a chronic heart condition and a nervous system condition, life-changing illnesses that I would never have gotten diagnosed had I stayed a patient here.

Do yourself a favour.

Some staff not bad in my personal experience. Unfortunately, the good work the GOOD receptionists, Doctors etc are somewhat destroyed by the obnoxious, power-crazed, jumped up staff who make life as difficult as possible when it comes to getting appointments, VITAL repeat prescriptions, information and just generally interracting with the surgery. Due to "admin" I have missed out on over 8 weeks worth of vital medication over the past 6 months due to the utter shambles that goes on when certain staff are on the job. Wholly unacceptable.

This is a real shame as some of the staff, receptionists, doctors etc are lovely and try hard to do a good job.
It's a real shame.
