I never really write bad reviews but I am going to. I had coughing fits for 3 months last year and bleeding gums. I struggled to phone at 10am as I work in education so literally impossible. I finally got an appointment months late. They said I could see a nurse. She didn't really want to talk to me. I told her I had coughing fits and bleeding gums. She moaned that I didn't come sooner. She was very quick to tell me I was allergic to perfume. No checks at all. Regarding my gums, "go to the dentist ". She made me feel ridiculous. I never go to the doctors so should have been taken seriously. I phoned up in Feb half term after choking for 5 nights. Magically I got hold of a cancellation and saw a doctor. She was brilliant and took thorough notes. There were no notes from last year, nothing had been recorded regarding my coughing fits. I was diagnosed with asthma within 5 minutes. Bleeding gums can also be a symptom of asthma. One year late but better than never. The doctor was outstanding. I'd give her 5*****s. I told her about the nurse last year and she felt embarrassed. I phoned about 10.10am to get an appointment to discuss my heart palpitations. I waited for 50 minutes. The lady said, no appointments left, phone again tomorrow. I said I'm at school. She said I have 20 people to call back who phoned before you. I've given up. My mum has phoned many times at 10 on the dot. They always say no appointments. She sent an email complaining. They quickly phoned back to say "would you like an appointment?" It seems like they block them. Very odd. My mum has a lung condition, the local pharmacist said she should should priority and should definitely be able to get an appointment as she's high risk. She went to the walk in centre. My dad collapsed last year at the airport and was sick and unconscious. Never happened before. I forced him to phone the doctors when he got home. He got through to a receptionist. She immediately said "you have norovirus " and that was that. Diagnosed without even having an appointment. No time for anyone. Absolutely terrible doctors surgery but thank to the amazing doctor with blond hair and glasses because you're the only person who seems to care about the local community.

Called every day this week 17th February ringing at 8am always 18-23 in the cue , Got through today 20th requested call back got that only to have the rudest receptionist on the other end arrogant and not helpful one bit ,saying I need to call back tomorrow or go to walk in center all I wanted was a doctor to call me .It's not often I need a doctor but the way she speaks to people it's no wonder people leave and go elsewhere. When patients call up they obviously need help and not spoken to in a way like that She obviously needs some customer relations training.

My 2-year-old son was unwell, so we called Stenhouse Medical Centre at 5:30 in the afternoon. To our surprise, Dr. Joanne Carey promptly returned our call and went above and beyond by staying late to visit my son, who had a high temperature. I cannot express enough gratitude to Stenhouse Medical Centre and especially to Dr. Joanne Carey. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication are truly remarkable. Amazing service—thank you so much!

Having recently transferred from Highcroft (worst practice ever!) I can honestly say that Stenhouse have far exceeded my expectations of what I was hoping for in a different gps practice! Receptionists have always been friendly and helpful. Never on hold for too long. Able to book an appointment even if you do have to wait a small amount of time. Previous gps just simply said "no" without any offer of an alternative. I would like to say a personal thank you to Siobain and Fatini who I saw today. These professionals were absolutely amazing and did for me in 20 mins what my previous gps never did! Thank you for restoring my faith in the NHS that little bit. I feel like I've gone back in time to when patients were listened to and given the care and treatment that they should have! Thank you Stenhouse!

I have been a patient at this practice since childhood, and I am still very satisfied as an adult. I now utilize the online services offered, which I have found to be user-friendly and more convenient than traditional phone queues. Any issues regarding prescriptions, appointments, or reviews have been promptly and efficiently addressed. Great Practice.

I have been with this doctors for many years and although I know they are under pressure they have always been kind and helpful with myself and my family. I do want to say a big thank you to Dr Carey, who has been absolutely amazing with my dad. She listened to him, never rushed him, made sure that he was seen regularly and reffered him to the right places promptly. Thank you Dr Carey for all of your help.

Can’t rate this practise and their excellent care to me and my family highly enough. Despite the enormous challenges in the NHS they are always diligent and caring. They have a sensible approach- I’ve managed to have most issues dealt with over the phone, and only have to go in when necessary. We take personal responsibility for our own health in my family, and view this practise as there to support us, not sort our lives out for us. The staff are never condescending, and speak to us as equals.
