Myself and my husband have been patients at this practice since it opened...we have always found the service and care from all practice staff to be exceptional . I worked in the NHS for almost 50years and have seen many changes not all of them for the better. This practice is the NHS at its best.

The reception staff are rude and speak down to you.
They make you feel like you’re an inconvenience.
they are not very helpful and make things more difficult than they need to be.
I had an issue with my two week old and because we were new to the area the lady told me that completing their registration was more important than my newborn and that A&E would not see me,which was very wrong because A&E made my daughter a priority!
I also seen a doctor who could barely speak English who patronised me and asked me what I think is the problem (I thought you went to them for them to diagnose you) he repeated my symptoms to me on several occasions and kept on backtracking because he wasn’t understanding me.
The little gem I found in this mess of a surgery is Anthony the lovely asthma nurse,he was always patient kind caring & compassionate every single time!
Would not recommend this surgery!

I can't recommend highly enough. We have just moved from another practice due to relocation and WOW what a difference! The people who are lucky enough to belong to Stainland Medical Centre don't know how lucky they are. Well done everyone involved in running such a slick practice! Your care and kindness towards your patients is very much appreciated.

Taken my little one for pre school vaccinations. From having his name called in the waiting room to the goodbye our nurse Anthony was absolutely incredible. Total asset to the practise. Anthony also saw my older son for an asthma check and was equally as great. Thank you

So I feel I must share my death sentence that was handed to me by a Dr at this surgery. Thought I was loosing my mind, I knew something was not right , so many things that I had to write a list. The Dr said one appointment one item off of your list ! She then told me it was all in my head !!! I have terminal cervical cancer! Thank you for my death
sentence and no life to look forward to.

What absolute joke waited 35mins over my appointment time which was only 2 hours since opening time to be told I couldn't have what I went for. Not only that whilst waiting in reception noticed how rude the receptionist was with patients never just joined this doctors and never had a doctors as bad as this one.

My mother was a patient here for too long. She now suffers from dementia. She has received almost no medical care or support from them whatsoever (despite a diagnosis from her GP at this practice). Even when she was in crisis I had to literally beg (I'm not being overdramatic here) a GP to visit her even after the Mental Health Team had Stepped in too. She was sectioned again in May (it's now sept) and I've just had a call from this practice to ask where she is because 'she hasn't picked up her blood pressure tablets for a while now!' THIS is the level of care you can expect from this practice. Not enough doctors (even the most senior one is part time and barely ever there)and too many patients, no communication and very poor care. This is not an isolated case..go read other reviews. Good luck getting an appointment too! You health, and that of your love ones, is the MOST important thing.. do yourself a favour ..take my advice and walk on by - you can thank me later.

Can't praise them enough. Managed to get an emergency appointment within 10 mins on New Year's Eve afternoon. Saw Dr Hammond who suspected appendicitis & arranged immediate admission to HRI. Her diagnosis was confirmed & I had my appendix removed on New Year's Day.
