I was seen by Dee in podiatry for consultation, nail surgery and a dressing change. She was absolutely exemplary with her treatment, I’m autistic with a fear of nail related issues and she made me feel so much more comfortable and was very patient and kind both in the consultation and during the surgery doing her absolute best to put me as at ease. Also impressed at the short wait time and level of care. Thank you so much!

Attended for mammogram today.
I am always nervous about this procedure and informed the radiographers. They were marvellous - patient, kind and supportive.
Cannot praise highly enough.

My Mum is 97 years old and was admitted here after a stay at North mid, the physio side is fantastic.
But the nursing side are understaffed and uncaring, I had to witness my mum crying because she had soiled herself, eventhough we had asked for her to go to the loo, I even offered to help the nurse take , but the nurse said no and walked away, I am an ex paramedic and was taught basic dignity, 2 minutes is all it would've taken!! After that I had to wait at an unattended desk till a nurse appeared and ask for my mum to be cleaned up.
WHAT A JOKE!
The sooner she's out of her the better

Had an appointment in the mobile screening van in the hospital grounds. Took a chance and got there early hoping to be seen when they could fit me in. Luckily, no-one was there so I was seen straightaway. Lovely radiographer, excellent service.

My dad was sent here to help him start back walking after 8 weeks in North Mid. The only thing I can say was that the place is clean and at first he had his own room and TV. But in trying to get him to walk, I had to kick up a fuss at first, then they gave him 2 and a bit weeks of physio then he was discharged, saying the he is too old and they not going to get any more out of him. Bloody cheek when my dad was walking normal before he was admitted into hospital. They could not be bothered as they were concentrating more on younger people. The man opposite him could walk, had something wrong with his hand and was in for over 4 weeks. Waste of time him going there. Most of the staff are nice, but some are rude and don't care. They also lied saying that he will have physio at home, 6 weeks later and nothing. Go else where, where they care about the elderly and have patience.

My mother is 100 years old. She is amazingly well for her age, largely due to the fact that her meagre appetite has been supplemented by Ensure for the last four years. A Dietitian who had never met my mother instructed her GP to stop prescribing Ensure as they "were not looking for clinical improvement". Clinical deterioration has followed which seems to be the aim of the Dietitians at St Michael's and my mother is now becoming mentally unstable. Another Dietitian finally visited her and ignored the pleas of the Registered Nurse at the Home where she lives. She said "it's not up to me", so I have no idea why she came ....... Finally she agreed to reinstate oral nutritional supplements for one more month after which my mother is to "drink milk and take vitamin pills". Obviously this will save the NHs money, but at the expense of my mother's health. Well done to the Dietitians at St Michaels.
