Avoid. Avoid. Avoid....
Despite its promise of care and safety to patients definitely not... one incident happened when was on a call to somebody heard and seen everything ring to complain and denied the whole thing. Gave more tablets to make them sleep and forget. Locked in your room for somebody else's doing. How is that right
They are treated like a prisoner not a poorly mentally ill patient.
Staff poorly trained.
Don't offer you therapy or courses like promised all the time. Just let alone basically get on with it..

Absolutely amazing place and would recommend this hospital to anyone with bad mental health! Every single one of the staff do there absolute best for every single patient and all treated very fairly. I could not tell you how hard the NHS staff work together to improve people with mental health issues and get them ready for the outside world. Food is always chicken because it has got high protein levels to make patients strong and healthy.

This hospital has had repeated CQC inspections, where safety needs improvement. Their neglect and gross failures were yesterday identified by an inquest jury as factors that should have stopped my son’s death . Stop mistreating our loved ones at their most vulnerable. Here are a couple of examples of employee reviews on Indeed website: "The poor patients have to deal with different staff everyday, most of whom they will have never met before. There is no consistency or compassion. Hoping things improve soon." " I wasn’t prepared for the level of violence and the risk . I didn’t know or get told the client group we were looking after . The nurses and doctors don’t respond to the incidents. " - plenty more like this!

BEWARE - Despite its promise of care and safety, our family faced an unimaginable tragedy that was a direct result of the multiple failings of St Marys ran by Elysium. A prison like environment paired with poorly trained (& temporary) staff left our loved one feeling isolated in his most vulnerable moments, mirroring concerns echoed in previous CQC inspections and employee testimonials. There is a pattern of negligence here that has now touched our lives personally, as it has with others before us. The devastating loss of my brother-in-law, who was not afforded the basic care and attention he desperately needed, is a reminder of the crucial improvements needed within St Marys. I urge anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere.

Why on earth do the NHS continue see fit to purchase beds in St Mary's, Warrington a private hospital owned by Elysium when their care ( or lack of ) given to Liam was found to have gross failures including failure to provide basic medical care amounting to neglect. Not an isolated case. Don't let your loved ones be admitted there is my heartfelt advice to anyone reading this review.

WARNING! Do not allow anyone you love to be placed in this hospital/prison. This is NOT a place where patients are treated with respect or provided with talking or occupational therapies, despite their claims. St Mary's/Elysium are very happy to throw money at inept and frankly embarrassingly unprofessional senior staff, as well as at defense lawyers at inquest...but are cutting costs at ground level on basic care and care staff. THEY DO NOT CARE.

I wanted to select '0 star rating' for this place but system wont post the review, so I have to select 1 star!
Strongly advise to avoid to be referred to here as you never know what will happen once your loved one walked into there!!! Numerous incidents happened to the the poor patients and still many families are waiting for the answer, why!!!! As they are struggling financially, they can not deliver proper services to patients, actually, some ex-staff mentioned, the environment in this hospital is so unbearable, even a normal person stay there for a week, will want to suicide! They don't treat the patients as patients, they treat them as prisoners which is the last thing mental health patients want!

I fail to understand why the NHS is continuing to purchase beds for this hospital.Repeated CQC inspections show improvement is needed. Neglect, failure to provide basic medical care,isolation are some of the issues high lighted at a recent inquest. It is not a caring environment for vulnerable people.Do not use this facility for your loved ones.
