Calling system is ancient, having to call at 8am and redial 50 times to get in. Whenever I ask specifically for a GP I always get a nurse and have to rebook for another appointment. Has happened a few times. As someone with a busy schedule this obviously makes life difficult. I never want to call in when I am ill because I dont feel welcome to call, or dont want to deal with everything always going wrong.

Honestly we cannot understand any negative reviews of this GP practice. We moved from Middleton a few years ago where it was and still is impossible to get through the phone let alone an appointment there. We have always been able to get a same day appointment at St James Medical Centre. All staff are helpful and our experience of all the GPs has always been brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. They are especially reassuring and helpful when it comes to our child. We're so grateful to be registered with this GP practice. We have friends elsewhere who have had to resort to paying for private GP apps for their children due to wait times.

128 times I called this morning getting cut off each time with line busy, then after getting through I was only 2nd in the queue result but strange, I was told I'd be called off a doctor at some point during the day I haven't received any phone call when I've called to see what's going on apparently the doctors tried to ring 3 times, I've no missed calls or voicemail left, what a waste of time I've sat in all day waiting on an appointment with being in the hospital tomorrow

Absolutely useless, receptionists seem to think they run the show. Emailed the surgery, just met with replies saying we can’t discuss confidential information. If they took the time to read the email you sent instead of just responding with a generic template they might realise you haven’t asked for any information. This surgery might as well shut down, it caters to the select few. Oh and don’t dare walk in through the front door and ask for an appointment, the receptionists will tell you to go back outside and ring them 😂😂

This practitioners has been incredible throughout my illness during 2019. Each Doctor I spoke with since take the time to listen and always offer additional support. You always know you'll leave with a more positive mindset, even if it's to get a prescription. I honestly wouldn't have asked for anymore support at my time of need.

Needs shutting down this place ..
Have to ring at 8am I rang them Monday 50 times no appointment rang them Tuesday 48 times no appointments rang them Wednesday 51 times no appointment what on earth do you have to do to get a appointment the receptionist is so rude she needs to be sacked older lady who thinks she knows it all ..
The worst doctors I have ever been to in my life either needs new staff completely or shutting down honestly wouldn’t even bother registering with these they are useless..
dont no how to do a job everyone is really rude and don’t no how to use there manners I don’t understand what I have to do to get a appointment..

Rang St James several times on Tue, again several times on Wed constantly engaged. Rang 111 on Thursday couldn't get through after 1hr. Rang 111 Fri at 8 am got through after 40 mins. 111 suggested I would receive a call within 6 hrs. Call received 5 hrs on referring me to am SMS message sent at 11 am. Was about to go to Walk in centre. St James's requested a photo to protect, patients, staff and.... Photo sent. Apparently corrupted. Asked if we could try again. Told them not to bother. Painful having to deal with this practice.
