St Georges Medical Practice - Nottingham

I have been registered with this GP practice for less than six months, and I was recently surprised to discover that I am no longer listed as a patient. I became aware of this issue when I was unable to access my NHS app. Upon contacting the practice, I was informed that I could not be found on their system—it appeared as though I had never been registered.

This is particularly concerning, as I have previously attended the practice and was seen by a doctor who prescribed me medication in February. When I asked how this situation could have occurred and why I was not notified, no explanation was provided. The only response offered was to “check if other practices in the area are accepting new patients, as we are not.”

I am currently six months pregnant and have been told I will still receive care, but I am understandably very concerned about not having a GP to refer to at this stage—especially when the issue was not caused by me. I am extremely disappointed with how this has been handled: there has been no explanation, no accountability, and not even an apology for the inconvenience and anxiety this situation has caused.

The receptionists are always friendly and considerate, even when there are no appointments available. Most of the time, if I call at 8 a.m., I can get a same-day appointment. The doctors are extremely thorough and are always willing to take extra time to make sure all of my concerns are addressed.

Our appointment was scheduled for 9:20, and we arrived promptly at 9:00. It is now 11:00, and there are still no doctors in sight. My child is late for school, I am late for work, and this delay is completely unacceptable. We have been waiting for two hours.

This is the second time a specific doctor has seen my children and each time she’s acted like she was forced be at work. For a doctor who looks after children she sure needs some training on how to relate with children. Not even one smile the entire appointment.

Receptionist I spoke to today is very abrupt and rude. She may have a lot if appointments to book but each of us phone up for a valid reason. She doesn't give you time to speak nor dies she listen. Just so rude

I've had a few appointments since registering here and each staff member has been entirely professional, friendly and reliable. I also had a very impressive response time of less than twenty minutes after submitting a routine query via their AccuRx system.

I cannot speak highly enough of St George's Medical Practice. I am a relatively new patient at the practice and every interaction has been positive, kind and warm.
The team on reception is so welcoming and helpful, the team were wonderful with my son when he felt queasy after having a blood test and in particular, Dr Shah has offered genuine care an attention for my holistic wellbeing with a shoulder injury. I am so glad we chose this practice when we moved to West Bridgford.
