Despite the grey, cold, wet weather, it was well worth the stay! The summer activities were not in action, but if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in winter, with a personal hot tub, definitely consider going here.

The staff were very welcoming and eager to help with anything. Laura was our host so thank you very much Laura!

We stayed at the fishing lodge and I did not want to leave! We had a wonderful time. The location is secluded and tranquil watching the wildlife was amazing. The service was absolutely superb. Laura is brilliant nothing was a problem for her, it was a pleasure to meet her. This is a must stay and a fantastic place. We will definitely return. Thanks for having us! 😊

Liked: Good location, not far from London. There is Tesco express nearby. Clean toilet, hot shower. Staffs were nice and polite. Price is good for EHU. Gate is locked at night so feel secure. We will definitely return.

We recently visited Andrews Lake during the school half-term after seeing it online. We thought it would be nice to take a look around, see what they had to offer, and possibly book some activities for the future. However, our experience was disappointing from the start.

Upon arrival, we were immediately approached by security, who asked what activity we had booked and at what time. After explaining that we hadn’t booked anything as we were just looking to explore and get a feel for the place, we were bluntly told that it was all private land and we couldn’t look around. It took about five minutes of back-and-forth discussion before the security guard finally let us park up and have a quick look—only after we pointed out that most people wouldn't book something without seeing it first.

To our surprise, considering it was the school holidays, the place was practically empty. While we understand that the water may be cold this time of year, we expected the other activities to be busier. The climbing area was very small, and the zip line looked underwhelming, barely extending over the water.

What’s most frustrating is that nowhere on the website does it state that if you haven't booked an activity, you won’t be welcome on the site. Had this been made clear, we wouldn’t have wasted our time visiting in the first place.

Overall, between the unwelcoming attitude of the security staff and how lifeless the place felt, I’m extremely glad we visited before committing to any bookings. This experience has completely put us off, and we won’t be returning.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at St Andrews Lake accommodation! The hot tub was simply amazing, and the overall atmosphere was calm, tranquil, and perfect for relaxation. The staff were outstanding - special thanks to Laura, who was incredibly efficient and always available on WhatsApp to answer any query instantly. Her exceptional communication made our stay seamless and enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to returning in the summer. Highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!

Everything was amazing! 100/100

The lodge was very nice, cozy, compact and modern. Definitely recommend. We had our own cozy hot tub when heated was perfect. The view as spectacular also, the layout is very nice aswell. Definitely coming back!

Liked: Wow what is not to love about this camp site.
Beautiful scenic setting friendly staff,
Nice clean amenities.
We booked last minute and received a warm welcome by staff.
We had issues with our electric hook up and staff were helpful . Looks as though our newly converted van needs to go back to have electrics checked 🙁
Toilets and showers were all nice and clean.
The sits it self is set on a beautiful lake and I definitely would come back and would love to book the lake plunge as unfortunately not I’d not been well recently I didn’t want to risk making myself worse .
There looks to be some fun activities for the family too so there is something for everyone.

Disliked: There wasn’t anything I disliked particularly but maybe a bit more lighting leading down to toilet area might be good .

Me and three friends thought we would
give the lakes a visit (as we’d heard great reviews), and it didn’t disappointment. The lakes were beautiful and the facilities spotless. The staff were lovely and particularly Chrissie who looked after us so well. Can’t wait to come back soon and try out the water park and the new zip line!
