My mum has just had an operation in this spire (she’s had quite a lot of ops) I can hand on heart say that from her surgeon Mr Gardner to the people taking food orders nothing was to much trouble. Jess was the nurse who checked mum in and looked after her from the time we went in 7.30am till the end of her shift 12 hours later , always happy, kind, helpful. Even whilst mum was in her op she popped in to see if I was ok (not expected but very much appreciated) . Mum has had Mr Gardner before for another op and he’s lovely , very approachable, professional and kind.

Lost the patient’s details twice. I made an online appointment. On the day of my appointment, I had been waiting for an hour that my name wasn’t called. In the end, I was informed there were double booked and my appointment was missing in the system. They assured me the issue would be investigated and fixed. Two days later after the appointment, I was not contacted by the specialist secretary and I suspected that Spire Southampton once again lost my record. As such, I called to check. And yes, my suspicion was right, they were unable to see my record in the system. They just gave me the secretary’s number which also helpful in a sense that I would need to book another appointment with the specialist. However, they didn’t offer to take any further action to sort the issue of their system. So I request to send them my appointment confirmation for further investigation and requested them to get back my consultation details and put it under my records. I am not sure if they would fix it. Just wait… (Laura, the receptionist had been helpful and acted quick. Issue sorted)

Btw, Dr Henny Lukman was very professional, attentive with her splendid experience working in NHS. She gave very helpful information and advice. I would give her a five stars if I could rate the specialist separately.

It’s frustrating that I will have to book another appointment with Dr Lukman in Spire Southampton which they lost my records twice. I felt helpless.

MRI & CT scan today at Spire Southampton. Excellent caring service, Bruno in MRI and Jenny for CT, so professional and thoughtful. Sorry cannot recall the other radiographer's name in MRI who looked after me.

I had a consultation with Dr Cox regarding the bones in my wrist. He was polite, knowledgeable and helped me understand possible causes of the problem. Getting in contact with the orthopaedic team was easy and they were very cordial. I would recommend this department at Spire.
I needed an MRI scan as part of my treatment and was transferred to the MRI department. It was more difficult getting in contact with them, and the person who answered was unpleasant. She was only the third person I shared my pregnancy news with (out of necessity) and she was so rude and demeaning, I was quite upset after disclosing it to her.

After having a HeLAP Procedure Surgery I was left very depressed and suicidal at times and I now need further surgery to correct . The hospital I found out afterwards said the procedure was a contract between myself and the surgeon and nothing to do with the them . The hospital has reviewed my complaint and taken it to stage one as completed with no further action , It’s now at stage two where I am still waiting for a response from there head office

We were very disappointed with Dr Henny Lukman. After explaining my 19 year old daughter was having periods lasting for between 52 and 81 days along with a host of other symptoms, her words were ‘I don’t think there is a problem’. An awful lot of money for just a ten minute appointment. My daughter was very upset and felt invalidated. We immediately booked Hampshire clinic (Mr Goumalatsos) and on the first visit he diagnosed what he suspected, followed up with blood tests and scans and confirmed PCOS and booked in treatment. The experience at Spire was unnecessary and it felt like Dr Lukman was more concerned with her appearance than my daughter. Refresher training would be advantageous. Hampshire Clinic was excellent.

I have had both NHS & private treatment at this hospital and can only applaud the clinical staff for their compassion, kindness and professionalism. I have felt looked after every step of the way from the consultant to the student nurses.
A very small number of admin staff have not lived up to the reputation the clinicians set for this hospital but for the amount of personnel they have, I guess that's a fair representation.
I would not hesitate to choose this hospital again if given the option.

Great hospital & facilities! Professional & high standard. Reception staff & nurse were so helpful & caring with my little boy when he collapsed with his condition.
On this occasion we saw Paediatric Cardiologist Dr Kevin Roman who is an expert in his area.
He had great understanding & experience. Dr Roman was kind & lovely with my son who felt well looked after, listened to & helped. All staff were very friendly & welcoming. I’d highly recommend.
