I have been suffering for a while with my knees so decided to see Mr Adrian Carroll who was such a lovely man who makes you feel at ease, after investigations he sent me for an MRI. The team there Michelle and Grace in Radiology are the nicest caring ladies. Nothing was to much trouble. Having an MRI isn't the nicest experience having to keep so still and I had to have two knees scanned. They constantly checked I was warm and comfortable and outside of the treatment they were really sociable chatting to make you feel at ease. The turn around was so fast and then I was soon back to see Mr Carroll the next week were again he was so thorough and explained everything in great detail. I was then referred over to Katy in Physio. Just when I thought my experience could not improve. Katy spent so much time listening and going through options and exercises. She was so thorough and made sure that I had the best plan for my physio journey. My experience with Spire through my work insurance was amazing!! I couldn't recommend the hospital and the team. Thank you Spire Murrayfield Wirral for my making my experience so warming and caring. Diagnose and plans within a week what more could you ask for.

The staff Toni jeni Julie James Kim Charlotte Chloe and all other staff I encountered were all fantastic.

Posting on partners account - Firstly, when I arrived the car park was treacherous, being 22 weeks pregnant the last thing I want to do is fall over- they had one guy outside shovelling from the back of the car park furthest away from the footpaths at 3.30pm - doesn’t make sense. Anyway, I booked this appointment when my eczema was so bad I was in tears from the pain - it was still a long wait until my appointment much like the current NHS waiting times. I have previously been to the NHS for my eczema, and they only ever prescribe a steroid cream which can be very damaging, so I stopped using these as they didn’t work anyway. I therefore decided to book a private £250 consultation with a ‘specialist’ in dermatology in the hopes that I would at-least be given some sort of thorough inspection, allergy test or treatment plan - although understanding this may not be possible to start unit after birth. Typically, two days before my appointment my skin calmed down however, I had taken photos during the latest flare ups to show the specialist. He very briefly looked at my now calm skin under a microscope/ light before sitting back down and asking if I’d ever used steroids. I explained how I have, and they haven’t worked, and all the other things I had tried in the past. He said I could use steroids for two weeks once a day then drop it down and it would be safe - I explained that I am more interested in knowing the cause of my eczema to which he googled the causes of eczema which I obviously already know- climate, diet, stress etc. I then mentioned how when my skin is wet it feels most itchy, and he continues to show me a YouTube video of how to apply moisturiser! I was almost speechless at this point but managed to ask, ‘so you can’t tell me what is causing my eczema specifically?’ To which he replied no not without noticing a cause yourself. I’m just baffled how I paid £250 to be shown google and YouTube information from a so-called specialist - I left knowing no more than I already knew, it was as if I had gone in there and said what's this funny red thing on my arm like I had no clue what eczema is or what causes it and therefore feel totally scammed. If I knew it was just going to be him telling me the causes and giving me a steroid cream which I said I don't want to use I wouldn't have wasted my time and money and just gone to the free nhs appointment for the exact same outcome.

Had an appointment this morning with Dr Ramakrishman, had a warm welcome from the main reception and the Radiology reception.

I also had a delicious coffee whilst waiting, all the staff was amazing, hospital very clean, smiles everywhere. The dr was professional, and patient….listened to me whilst I was blabbing away with my morning brain. Icing on cake was when I finished with my appointment the receptionist remembered my name.

Oh, and the amazing lady who wore light blue also pronounced my surname perfectly which doesn’t happen often. We had a bit of banter she was with me at the consultation room and gave me clear directions of where to go from waiting room 2 etc.

Spire advertise they provide consultation in 48 hours. This is far from reality. Today I posted an query for a dermatology appointment. Later I received a phone call and was told an appointment available with a junior consultant on next Friday - 22nd asked whether I want to book that. Unfortunately I said I will decide and call back later, when I called back the 22nd Appointment is gone, next appointment with same junior consultant is available only on Nov 20, more than a month after.

Appointments with some senior consultants are available only February next year!!!! 3 months wait. This is not an one time thing, end of last year I tried to book a consultation for another issue, that time also there was three months wait for seeing a senior consultant, so I did not book. Due to the delay in meeting a consultant through NHS if any patient try Spire Wirral delay in meeting a dermatology consultant in Spire is much worse than NHS. It is very disappointing.

Referred by the NHS to see Dr Stamer and have to say the hospital and staff were excellent. Very efficient visits including X-rays and MRIs all very friendly staff and were helpful in making sure I was looked after

Unsafe. Leave nhs to sort their problems.

The numbers on the post op advise sheet are incorrect and the ones that do work are never answered.

A and E had to sort problems dispite having paid thousands for treatment

Just been in conversation about my experience and thought I should do a review. Consultants really are great but I have been in the recovery room twice now and the ladies in there have made me feel so safe and comforted when coming round after a procedure. I feel like we sometimes don’t give certain people enough credit but I was touched by how kind they were to me.
