I had a minor surgery at Spire today and the only word I can describe is pleasant. It was my first surgery in the UK and I had no one to come with me as everyone was busy.

Katy White, the ward sister made me felt like I had a family member with me throughout the procedure. I told her I was anxious as this is my first time and she made sure I felt safe, checking in on me to the point she was already waiting for me in my room before I came back from the operation theatre. She reminded me of my mom when she gave me post operation care instructions before I left the hospital as she made sure I remember all the steps and such haha.

I would also like to mention Sue, Frazer and David who helped me inside the operation theatre. They helped me distract myself from the procedure as I was very anxious. Because of them, it almost felt like I was with my group of friends, talking about Otley run and such.

Diane was an angel who took care of my meals. Even though I told her I am not picky, she made sure she goes through all the menu and that I get the best meal suited for my taste.

And last but not least, Dr. Ian Beckley. Amazing is an understatement when it comes to him. The surgery was quick, neat and subtle to the point I almost fell asleep. His precise decision making made me feel safe during the surgery and he knew how to build trust between us throughout our interaction.

Overall, Spire made my very first surgical experience in the UK a very pleasant experience. 🙂

My wife very recently had her gallbladder removed at this wonderful hospital. The staff at all levels were excellent. The attention they gave my wife was wonderful and was the reason she felt safe and removed the concerns she had felt prior to surgery. The staff not only interact well with my wife but also with myself. The room (15) was immaculate and more akin to a 4 star hotel! I can totally recommend Methley Park (Spire) even the grounds are wonderful.

Admitted for vein surgery as a day case, staff were all so lovely and welcoming and accommodating, and even decent music in theatre. Very efficient service and kept informed throughout. Shout out to Sharon, Jenni, Dr Irvine and everyone else who looked after me!

I went for a colonoscopy which I was really not looking forward to. I got there and the nurses in the ward could not have been better. Jennifer really went out of her way to make it easier than it could have been. , thank you.
After being on the ward and down to have the camera up. ? ?Every one was fantastic. I must have had too much gas because I can’t remember the lady’s name who talked me through it but she was great , thank you.
And thanks to dr basheer and all who was in there. You’re all brilliant.

I contacted Spire Methley park hospital about a full knee replacement.(I need 2)
My GP sent a private referral on the 14th October.
Now 12 days later I'm still waiting for them to ring me back!!
I've rung 4 times and all I get is someone will call you back.
Puts you of spending your hard earned cash if they carnt be bothered ringing you back.?
Do they only want insurance work.
I'm in absolute agony and getting no where with the nhs.
The surgeon I've already seen works at Spire too.

First off, this is long overdue. I have Autism and ADHD so I'm not great at remembering to do things like reviews or what to say.
Which brings me onto Methley Park.
They were honestly AMAZING!
I was going in for a second spinal operation under the NHS. Before I even came in, they called me, they checked on me and made sure if there was anything I could make them aware of and I told them about my Autism, they made sure to pass on the information and made a huge effort to make sure to ask me about anything they could do to help manage my anxiety at all of make more comfortable.

While there they took amazing care of me. Gave me time when I needed it and helped to calm me.

The operation was a total success and I was in even less discomfort and pain after than the first operation.

The food was amazing. I expected the normal hospital food and what I got, I've had worse at expensive places! lol

I was a bit silly and tried to stand up the first night and was told off a bit (it's the nicest telling off I've ever had and was from a point of view of my care) and even then, the nurse came and said sorry to me the next morning. I told her she did nothing wrong and I shouldn't have been trying to stand and even then she felt bad about it.

Amazing staff, before, during and after care. Would rate them higher if I could!

He did a very thorough and professional checkup and gave in depth analysis of his assessment with an adequate management plan. Very happy with the service we received and with the professionalism we were dealt with. Fully recommend to others.
