Can’t understand why this hospital has got low reviews? My fiancé came here to do a DVLA heart fitness test and from the moment we arrived in reception the staff there were very friendly and polite to us. My fiancé then went on his test and received very good care from the nurse. We have to return again. Added bonus is here the parking is free and there are disabled bays right outside the reception entrance. Thank you for a very good service.

I have had two appointments at the Spire
as an NHS patient. One to see Mr Bahl, the neurosurgeon, who also phoned me with an update twice. He was professional, friendly, approachable and informative. Today I attended for steroid injections in my neck with Dr Maliakal and his team. Faultless treatment from every single member. All the same attributes that I applied to Mr Bahl.
Receptionists are also friendly and helpful.

Awful experience for the missus. Rude Emma from the imaging department should not be in her job.

At times of illnesses there is already enough worry without incompetent staff being awkward, evasive and problematic.

I have since taken my missus to bupa in york....totally professional, courteous and nice staff.

You can take the staff out of Hull...but you can't take Hull out of the staff.

Shame on you imaging department. We will not being using spire again and I would advise anyone reading this to check wait times at other hospitals before booking.

Some lovely staff but terrible communication particularly amongst admin staff. In our situation they have caused an unecessary delay in treatment of over 6 months. Unacceptable.

Absolute first class hospital, couldn’t fault anything about it, my docs missed a tonsil regrowth for 3 years, the surgeon spotted it straightaway and it was removed within 2 weeks, my nurse LISA was exceptional, friendly, caring and very professional, would highly recommend this hospital, thank you for an amazing experience ?x

I made an enquiry via email and specifically said to only contact me via email, not by phone, im usually very busy during office hours so i almost always miss calls.
Although this time i did manage to catch it as they rang right as i was finishing my break only to be hung up on as soon as i answered, then i got an email saying they didnt manage to ring me and that i would have to ring them instead?
You would think if they can send an email for that then they could just contact me by email anyway.
Why have an option to chose how you are contacted if you only accept calls.

Awful hospital. the staff are liars.

Emma & Sal in Imaging are the worst.

I was advised on a Wednesday that Imaging Department would call me on Thursday to Book 3 x MRI Scans and 2 x X-Rays, with the appointments being within 2 weeks.

On Friday I called the hospital to chase my appointments, spoke with Emma, the Head of Imaging appointments, she was rude, verging on abusive, ill informed and an out right liar, when pushed she then hung up the phone, so I drove to the hospital and spoke with Sal, the manager, and from the word go you could tell her was siding with her without getting the info or evidence.

He then called me back stating it would be at least 5 weeks before anyone contacted me to book my appointments and a few weeks more for the appointment....it would be faster on the NHS.

Me being me, then randomly called imaging to book an appointment and was told the wait time is less than two weeks.

I also spoke to my doctors secretary and told her what went on she was flabbergasted, and also confirmed, its a private hospital, you are paying Thousands of Pounds for these test and they are done with in a few days maybe a week.

So I have decided to take my money else where.

Terrible hospital. The lady who books the appointments in the imaging department is horrible. I think her name is Emma if she does not like you she will hang up the phone and has a really rude manner..take your money else where if you value your health.

The hospital should be shut down....it's strange how they know choose to hide their Google reviews but they don't realise they are still across Google.
