Very friendly service at Stowmarket store as always. Optician was lovely. First time meeting Precious and she was very thorough and informative. Very friendly and made me felt at ease. First time ever been offered a trial of contact lenses and didn't seem to be rushing me through my appointment. Then the staff who looked after me whilst browsing for glasses were really friendly and reminded me that I could get a pair of sunglasses free with the 2 for 1 offer. Again, great service all in all and cannot fault the staff. Lovely to see staff so happy as well.

I went to my opticians for a check on my right eye as I had a floater, have been coming here for years and didn't think to check alternatives before I booked my appointment. I was charged £35 for something which is free at another opticians in Stowmarket...I wish I had gone elsewhere as loyalty doesn't count with specsavers...they will cash in on anything...including something I was worried about.
Update....I was called by a Manager and received an apology and refund for my appointment, so only £10 out of pocket. Would have been nice to have been advised of the £10 charge wouldn't be covered as this could have been declined but in the grand scheme of things its not a huge amount. Changed to a 3 star and just hope that no one else is charged by mistake.

Not very happy with there service, after having an eye test from having my first cataract done at hospital and I was waiting for my second cataracts operation and I was experiencing bad headaches and double vision I told my optician I was experiencing these problems and asked him to send a referral to the hospital so I could see them sooner otherwise a year waiting list
I didn't hear anything from the hospital after a month so went back to Specsavers stowmarket to check they had done the reversal and they said it had been done
When I called the hospital they said they have not received any new referral from Specsavers stowmarket.
I've only just been seen by the hospital after a year's wait and all the headaches and double vision.
When I mentioned this to them they said they would of got me in sooner if they had known
I do not recommend Specsavers stowmarket and will not be using them again I will be using boots opticians.

This shop is best Opticians by far. Perfectly situated in Beautiful Stowmarket.. away from all that nonsense in Ipswich town.
Lovely staff. Look after you well. The actual eye specialist knows his stuff. Has your prescription sorted to the very best of standards.
