Have had such a bad experience at this branch. I had some great glasses from the store in Victoria a few years before and just needed a new pair. In this store first they got my prescription wrong the first time and it was too strong, so I had to go back again to get my eyes tested again. Then the glasses they ordered had the wrong focus point in them so they were incredibly blurry and I went back to have a problem solving appointment which confirmed this and they ordered lenses in. I then didn’t hear anything from the store for 3 weeks until I phoned and they confirmed they had the lenses in, and I needed to do a collection appointment, so I went in to book my appointment. Then today when I went to get my lenses fitted they told me they weren’t ready, so I did the journey for nothing! Overall, it has been a 4 month journey and 5 appointments so far and I still do not have new glasses!

Very disappointed with the service from this store. Go to a different opticians if you can.

I have been a customer of this branch for many years now and the service is always so good. The optician I saw today was great, so knowledgeable and friendly; and Rachel, who I have met many times, is as efficient, friendly and helpful as I could possibly hope for. Easily five stars.

I never thought to write a review for Specsavers, even though they're known as a budget-friendly optician.

We've never had any problems with them. It can get busy for sure, but the eye tests have always been thorough and accurate, the staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are excellent, and their free servicing and glasses cover have been fantastic.

Very unhappy my eyesight could have been damaged for life. I have been feeling more than three months headache and when I went back after two weeks to your store to get the new glasses in October they said there’s nothing wrong with the glasses but you have to continue to use and it will get better by time, and since then I had extreme constant headache for weeks. I had to go and seek another opinion from different optician. It turned out my prescription was wrong and I was prescribed another prescription. Your store never offered me another eye test back then to make sure Their test was incorrect, but they ignore it
I had no option but to go to another Optician they found out it’s 65% more than usual then what it should be.

Needed quick assessment of dry eye condition & in particular scary looking bloodshot eye. Speedily arranged by Saf with optometrist seeing me same day. All went like clockwork with no waiting & thorough professional attention, reassuringly diagnosing Sub conjunctiva hemorrhage. Recommending treatment and classed as self resolving, advising return and further assessment if not resolved in 10 days or so.

I can't quite believe how bad they have been with the care of my daughter. She suffers from migraines and not one care or thought was given to her. Was ment to have new glasses the week before Christmas and they came with the wrong prescription in. Then was told they would be ready before new year and heard nothing from them. Had to phone 4 times to be brushed of with rubbish excuses and be phoned back. You never phoned at all!!! We had to phone again to find out they were there but not ready. Then had to book to get fitted was seen over half hour late. No effort was made to give a better service, infact you only got worse.

Visited the Guildford branch for an eye test for myself and my 9 year old. Great service and the opticians were fantastic. Put my son at ease and was super child friendly and explained everything to him so he would understand. He came out saying how nice the lady was (wish I’d got her name!!). Highly recommend.

The optician did a great job and the team at Specsavers are very professional with the way they handled things start from when I got to them for my appointment.
I'll certainly recommend them to other people that have one problem or the other with their eyes because I'm sure they will get the solution they need from them and I'm give Specsavers, 5 rating stars.
