Other than a very limited parking space, the whole team was lovely. Especially lady who was doing my 12 weeks scan 🙂 very informative, cracked a few jokes, and explained everything we have seen on the scan. Ladies at the reception were great, too.

I must’ve visited a different clinic from the one people are describing… (clearly it was the same it just doesn’t echo the other reviews) I interacted with 3 receptionists all really friendly and polite.
We had our 12 week scan done with Kacie and she is the friendliest/bubbliest and most thorough Sonographer I have met! (We had a few private scans prior to this) nothing was too much trouble and she was so informative and answered all our questions.
Had my bloods taken by another nurse and again she was really friendly and funny to be fair.
Clearly parking isn’t the best as described, I don’t think I have ever been to a hospital and been amazed by by all the free spaces, you just know to turn up well in advance and be prepared to drive round a few times or walk a little bit - keep up the great work everyone 🙂 thanks again.

I’m not a review person, but I really don’t understand the negative reviews here. I have been twice for ultrasounds and my experiences have been nothing but positive. Kind and efficient receptionists, excellent care teams, and I’ve never had to wait for more than 5 minutes. I was having trouble getting a Covid jab, and they booked me in for a next day appointment. I don’t drive there, so parking hasn’t been an issue for me, but I wouldn’t blame it on the antenatal clinic if it were. They are professional and friendly, and I feel safe in their care. That’s ultimately what I’m looking for in a healthcare provider, so I couldn’t be happier.

Wanted to give this a good review as I had no issues and a good experience. So far I have only attended once for a 12 week scan. I cannot comment on parking as I parked on a street and walked 10 mins. When I arrived I was quickly checked in and didn’t have to wait long to be seen by the sonographer who was very friendly and explained everything clearly. I then had a blood test afterwards but didn’t wait anymore than 10 minutes in between appointments. The HCA who took my bloods was friendly and explained the procedures and tests. If you want a scan picture it is £5 per photo, we asked for 2 but actually got given 4 (only paid for 2). Overall great experience and no issues at all. I hope for the same on my next appointment.

Alot of the reviews here are complaining about waiting times. As someone who has suffered previous miscarriages, and experienced a lesser standard of care elsewhere, I have found the care at southmead to be outstanding. Yes I sometimes have to wait a very long time to be seen. But please remember some women are possibly getting bad news or having problems and will take more time than is booked. Once in my appointment I am always treated with such kindness and I never have felt rushed. Sometimes the doctors and staff are there well past the end of the day after all other staff have gone home.

I really do not understand why such bad rating. Today I made my first screening in this clinic. On the reception was nice lady who registered me and asked to take a sit and wait when doctor will ask me. In 5 minutes doctor asked me. Sorry I do not remember her name. She was nice and showed us parts of baby, explained what is where and tried to get best photos of fetus(we got 5 different photos at the end) And she told the date of expected birth.
Lady who was taken blood was really nice (asked me some questions about pregnancy and illnesses), took blood really gently and quickly, explained me about results. Totally we spent there 30-40 minutes. Really quick service!!
We did not use car park as we read about problems with that. We left car close the Lidl(as we needed to make shopping after scan anyway)
I am pretty sure if you kind to stuff they will be best to you in return. Thanks to all❤️We will see you in my next scan(20weeks)

Quantock Assessment unit? REALLY? REALLY? Extremely suggested that if there is no movement or concern, do not hesitate to come over for a test. My wife is in pain and made us stay there for 6 hours. If it's busy, no problem at all. DOCTOR? We complained why it does take so long to be seen by the doctor. A blue uniform lady said here is like A&E and waiting period is between 6 and 8 hours. This is true when it's busy and there are full of patients. This is a stupid system. They do it on purpose, or the management is absolutely unprofessional. Because it's NHS, and it's free? But do you know how much people like my wife work so hard and pay tax?
This is the third time they kept us there for many hours, and we left finally without seeing a BUSY DOCTOR?
Increase the number of your doctors and improve your services, or shut it down. Don't waste people's valuable time in the waiting rooms.

The parking situation here is an absolute joke! It looks like staff is using the same parking as patients. we’ve been going round for 10/15 minutes and not one car has moved. Considering that most patients are pregnant women it’s awful that there is no parking to accommodate their needs and we are risking additional stress because we are trying to find a place to park while trying not to be late for the appointment. absolute disgrace!
