Overall disappointing. Southgates has massively gone downhill since the merger with the Woottons surgery. I've been in the role of receptionist in front line care before, and I've never had to tell anyone just to "go do it online, or we can print you a paper form which we can then input". How horribly inefficient and rather callous. For the first time in about 10 years, I'm having to consider changing surgery for my own health as I don't even know my GP nor any of the GPs I used to know.

absolutely terrible
the dispensary team is rude and unhelpful, especially the foreign woman, the phone line is always busy and takes ages to get through.
i have a GP who i have never met or spoken to because she is always on holiday or maternity leave, i have been with this surgery my whole life, 20 years, and have never met her once
the wait times are long and excessive, you may show up for your appointment on time, but will be waiting over 15 minutes to be called in
parking is horrendous
the best part about this place is leaving

0 stars: It is only fair to say that the service here is very, very poor. It is impossible to get an appointment, and reception can just choose not to answer you. Once the phone rang for 5 minutes in front of me while receptionists were on "coffee break chat and laughs" as someone tried to reach out to them. On another occasion, we tried to call and waited for 10+ minutes while there was a signal on the phone. Obviously, no one cared to pick it up. You could have probably received better care during the Victorian era, seriously... Was once asked how I would self-diagnose for something and ended up getting a waffly answer without ever getting a proper diagnosis. Doctors do not ever provide any proper treatment apart from cocodamol and paracetamol and rely on Google most of the time, so will try to change practices.

Tried to book an appointment in the future. Website says too many people have used the site so my request can't be processed. Ridiculous. It smacks of fobbing off. Why not say, we can't commit to a date or time, but you've contacted so we will get back to you with options? I get the system is strained, but this level of service is very poor. I've had a run of poor experiences with NHS provision. I refuse to accept they are the sole responsibility of the government. Nine months later, no better.

Located just outside town centre, 10 minutes walk from train station and 15 from bus station. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. Toilets available on site, including wheelchair accessible one. Touch screen by the entrance to sign in upon arrival, so no need to speak to receptionist. Waiting area up and downstairs available. Lift available also. Pharmacy just next doors if you need any meds straight away.

I have found this practice to be very accommodating, in my experience the desk staff have been very helpful .. If you give them some respect. The nurses and Doctors have always been there when needed. I can only speak for myself and my husband.

Imagine coming to your GP, you tell them about a possible disease, the "doctor" tells you they never heard about this disease a d it doesn't exist, so you pull out your phone to google it for them? run from this surgery as fast as you can, unqualified and clueless doctors. From all the doctors I've encountered, there's only one good one that I had pleasure seeing, and he's the one who deserves this one star (he deserves 5 stars but this is a review for the surgery), unfortunately couldn't get to see him again even after asking repeatedly. This surgery thinks it's a good idea to give different doctors for the same problem, every doctor has different methods and it can do more damage than help. I've had a health problem that's completely put my life on pause, but trying to get through to doctors and get help in this country is a losing battle. I'm left with no choice but to spend thousands of pounds £££ and go get help privately, which is a bummer after paying taxes and national insurance. Really sad state this country is in, if peoples health is neglected this badly, then things will only keep declining..
