Been to accident and emergency twice within the past week first with my 92 yr old dad. The triage team were very professional even though they were rushed off their feet. He was eventually seen by the doctor(I think it was doctor Khan) who was also rushed off his feet but had a lovely attitude withy dad.
Was in again with my friend last night Another long wait but once again the staff were lovely from triage to doctors. Even though they never stopped and rushing from patient to patient. Many thanks to Quinn and the team you must all be worn out

Had an appointment in the cardiology department today, and the staff were all friendly and put me at ease. Made everything more comfortable and didn't feel stressed at all. Thank you! Mrs G Hutchins saw us (i hope that's correct) and she was great.

Nurses sent an ambulance for my mam yesterday said she really needed to be in the hospital for her own safety we saw her off and I had to go to work thinking she was in safe hands in a ward and feeling better that my old dad would get a night's sleep. My sister phoned at night to see how mam was settling in only to find she had beed sitting in a chair for 8 hours in A&E I was horrified as she has back trouble on top of everything else. I left work early to check on her and felt guilty as hell knowing she sat in one spot in agony. The doctor asked me to get a water sample from her whilst we waited I couldn't believe it I'm 58 year old guy and the doctor wanted me to take my 77 year old mother to the toilet to collect a sample I was shocked so that didn't happen.
To round it all up she was taken to hospital in an ambulance at 6pm and she was kicked out at 1am, I had to wake my 84 year old dad to say mam was coming home.
I understand the NHS is lacking in funds however the nurses phoned for an ambulance and told us mam needed to be in hospital.
I am furious at this whole experience and upset at the same time. What the hell has happened to our care, I feel let down and really have mixed emotions but a complaint is going in

Had a visit to the women's health department today, fantastic receptionist super helpful and friendly even though they were super busy. Got in got assessed had treatment all in the same visit. Really excellent team who are going above and beyond.

Helpful staff and large car parks make it easy to get around and find which ever department one is looking for. Unfortunately, the parking is not free so it can be very expensive to park about £2 per hour although you do get twenty minutes free for dropping off. Be aware that if you go twice in one day it registered your car with the first time you entered so make sure you check your entry time on your car second visit.

I have recently been to A & E at STDH. Excellent service and the staff were very informative and down to earth which suits me. They helped me greatly and because of the nature of my illness a CT scan was arranged for the next day.

Place is a disgrace , having to travel half an hour now for proper decent medical care after a seizure due to throat closing up as shields hospital think it’s not something to worry about. Place needs shut down the mortality rate is getting sickening at that deathhole.

My son has been seen a few times at children's AnE this year for various reasons. The staff were lovely and caring, explained everything, did a thorough assessment. Very friendly with my son and myself. We were seen so fast every time. Thank you to the drs and nurses, they are doing amazing at running children's AnE.
